I don't see anything remarkable about that report. There's an offensive on and there have been countless reports about its slow progress. Obviously there are casualties. Why is Vlad posting enemy MSM propaganda?

Vlad: Those paid whores of Soros, BBC pedophiles and the Zionist ranks never tell the truth like Russia Today and Jack Posobiec.
Also Vlad: BBC just ran a news story that totally proves my point.
Everyone else: Not really, it's just, you know, news. Respected media outlets tend to do that.

Dutch brewer Heineken is selling its Russian assets for 1 euro — and losing €300 million.
The new owners will receive all Heineken's Russian assets, including 7 breweries. The buyer also took responsibility for 1,800 Russian employees.
“The deal completes Heineken’s withdrawal process from Russia, which began in March 2022, resulting in an expected total loss of €300 million,” the brewing company said in a press release.
The buyer is Arnest Group, which produces antiperspirants, air fresheners and insecticides.
There is no “buy back” option in the deal.
Heineken is taking its brands with it. In 2019, the company paid €400M in taxes in Russia.
On 22 August, Japanese company Uniqlo announced its exit from the Russian market.
They left with a bang: The company terminated all lease contracts, paid the penalties, fired all staff, paid them their 11-month wages, and transferred Japanese managers to other countries.
On 21 August, Domino's Pizza has announced that it will bankrupt its Russian assets.
Unable to find a buyer, the company decided to simply leave without transferring the business to anyone.

Good. My firm did exactly the same back in April last year. We just paid local staff (around 80 of them) a year’s salary, locked up and left.
We also immediately stopped doing any work for any Russian client, including several major Russian entities and rich investors looking to do deals outside Russia. the only Russia related work since then has been advising western companies looking to do what Uniqlo and Heineken have done.

Looks like Tucker Carlson will have a regular Russian TV spot; doesn't sound like he knows much about it though. I can only assume they intend to pirate his Twitter show (or parts thereof).

I saw an interesting DW interview with an ex-Russian Central Bank economist on the economic impacts of the War. One interesting aspect is that as many poor, marginalised families have men at the front, there has been a redistribution of wealth (due to the very high wages of combatants), giving them a sense of improved economic conditions.
Overpriced shite pizza, anyway.Nerd wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 6:52 pm
