Aclede Toan Unity app?
I am stranded in Spain and my biggest fear is not being able to access my funds from Acleda. Yes,I have debit cards but the visa one no longer functions and I fear the mastercard may go the same way soon and even if it doesn't it expires at the end of this year.
So I am thinking of trying to open a Spanish account and transfering funds into that via the app, or to Western Union.
My experience with Acleda while on my travels has been shocking, they don't answer emails, the phone numbers are wrong too and the one and only time I managed to get through the woman spoke crap English and spoke so softly that I couldn't hear her!
Does anyone have the app?
Does it work okay?
Can I transfer funds internationally?
Cheers for any useful replies or any other advice or ideas.
If this virus crisis doesn't improve and I am stuck in Spain without access to money, I will be fucked!

horace, I can't answer your question, but I do want to wish you the best and hope that you stay well.
Maybe it's time to contact the British Embassy and see if they can help you get back home?
At least they might be able to assist you to get back to loved ones.
You can sort out the dosh problem from there.
I've been thinking about you a lot as you're stuck in the one country that's seeing massive increases in cases
of late.
I think it's best if you temporarily abandon your pursuits and get back to London. These are extraordinary times and
they call for homely measures.
All the best, mate, and I hope some poster or other can help answer your query.

They definitely support SWIFT payments but it’s not entirely clear how to do them.

Cheers for the wish and my travels are definitely over this year as was the original plan. However, I have no wish to return to London nor anywhere in the UK as it is not a place that I have called home for over 25 years. As soon as it is possible I will return to Cambodia which was my home for 18 years.springrain wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 7:19 pmhorace, I can't answer your question, but I do want to wish you the best and hope that you stay well.

They are listed as contacts for remittance via SWIFT.
If everything fails, you can transfer to Wing with the app so if you have a trusted buddy with Wing that’s an option.

Here, hoping to give you some cheer, is that marvellous song by Lynyrd Skynyrd:

Returning to Cambodia might not be that easy either. We had booked flights to Phnom Penh from Brussels in early January , to fly back on April 15th.
3 days ago Thai Airways abruptly announced that their flight was cancelled with no offer of rerouting, refund or any other news. Phones are unmanned and they don't reply to emails or FB enquiries. Don't trust the fuckers.

Ask a friend to go to a branch in person and find out what they need to DHL you a new Visa with the same PIN before it’s too late.
Ok. Good luck.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
