Seen today on an expat forum:
In these strange times I understand that many people are having to relocate to their country of origin (I myself have had to say goodbye to two bloody Brits who lost their jobs after the COVID-19 lock downs) and this indeed could be a related migration. However, it strikes me as ridiculously naive (hopeful perhaps) of the OP to request that some internet hero on a certain flight at a particular time would want to take her dodgy cargo, regardless of how cute it is.
Is this a new thing like GoFundMe travelers?
Would you ever take a stranger's luggage for them?

I've seen a few posts lately from people asking for volunteers willing to collect their luggage and bring from Cambodia to another country.
The posts usually go something like this "Hi everybody, I recently left a bag at a GH in PP/SR/Kampot/etc but was unable to get it in time for my flight to (insert country) would anyone travelling to (insert country) be willing to bring my bag for me? I will pay you...."
Not a farking chance! Anyone who would agree to carry someone else's, especially a strangers, luggage for them, whether from city to city or country to country, is a complete bloody idiot.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

No way Jose!! I watch Border Security on tv and have seen some stories about innocent (and not so innocent) drug mules.

I knew a very naive English girl, a bit plump, and who could be the model for stereotypical blonde jokes who once was going to travel to Bolivia to bring a package of "African spices" to her west African fellow.AnassRamaIV wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 4:07 pmI know an incredibly naive girl who took a parcel from Saigon to Phnom Penh for her nigerian "friend". Took two weeks before she accepted it was a bad idea, then she later had his kid and fucked off home to mummy and daddy with their new grandkid in clutch.
The West African is in Prey Sar these days.

A Viet woman with some English, possibly Aussie accented, asked me to take a bag or something at Saigon Arrivals queue.
I was sort of thinking.... Oh OK just a bag.... then I came to my senses.
Took a wooden weird small stool/table thing for someone I'd spent days with, to London, met up had a beer & then never saw again. Marrakech, Morocco to London. He was gay as it turns out &....was quite naive back then.
