The WHO held an emergency meeting in late January - their highest alert, which signified to all world leaders that some serious shit was going down. Most world leaders failed to act on that information. With all their intelligence operatives and equipment. Even more so seeing there was a trade war going on with China. They had all the data in January.Alexandra wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 2:02 pmThe same WHO that praises China and refuses to recognize Taiwan? Criminal negligence? I don't think so. More like they put their oven-ready Plan X into operation and rubbed their hands in glee.

Firstly, why are there two graphs for Spain with the same info?
Secondly, why are the numbers being counted not the same?
Thirdly, why are the colours being used not the same?
These discrepancies make comparing the two graphs difficult.!
You also fail to mention the reason for the sudden spike in Spanish recoveries and the sudden spike in UK deaths. The former because Spain spent a week testing all healthcare workers with an anti-body test and the postive results were all added at the same time as recovery. The latter when the UK added all the care home deaths at the same time.
Finally , what was the point of your post?

My mistake Horace. I fucked the post. There was supposed to be a graph of Italy. A comparison between the three worst hit countries. The charts try to compare the CFR, which is an indication of how well each respective health service are doing.
If the UK had really added all the care home deaths to bring the death rate to the correct total, it would be over 21,000, not 5000, baring those in care homes that were infected but didn't die. I think that would be around the 65-70% mark.
Also, don't forget that their was a time lag before action in the UK.
The point? Surely you can work that out for yourself. It's been in the papers.

I don't know enough about the WHO or this virus to have a strong opinion one way or the other but I do remember the WHO criticizing Sweden only a couple of weeks ago. Now they are calling Sweden a model country.Alexandra wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 2:02 pmThe same WHO that praises China and refuses to recognize Taiwan? It isn't as bad as when the US Surgeon General was telling Americans to not wear masks but it should make one question the experts.
Anyways, most countries don't recognize Taiwan and it is a problem for the Chinese people to figure out. The Chinese did handle this virus better than most developed countries so perhaps they do deserve some praise.

Again it is hard to compare as the colours or the info on recoveries are not the same. Also Italy has been in crisis longer than the UK! I still don't see what you are getting at. In the papers? The news has been all about Boris's baby as far as I know but then again I am not looking at the news from the UK very much. What is your point?

The charts below show the monthly average of all deaths over the last ten years with 2020 in red.
There would be deaths that didn't happen from skiing, paragliding, car accidents etc because of the lockdown which can also be contributed to corveef.
There was, of course, no real need for the numbers to be so high. The WHO recommended everyone take a look at South Korea by mid March.
WHO: 'Testing, testing, testing!'
Johnson: “The UK is ready to take off its Clark Kent spectacles and leap into the phone booth and emerge with its cloak flowing as the supercharged champion [of death]”

Those graphs have no X axis scale range, labels or data source. Therefore we don't know if the x-axis is zeroed. It could show literally anything.
Usually the motive for fuckery with the x-axis is to misrepresent the data.

The X axis runs from Jan to Dec, do you mean the Y axis?starkmonster wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 7:24 am

X = a cross = across
Even though there are no numbers you can see that England, Spain and Belgium the deaths are roughly twice as high as normal in April.
As long as the axis is continuous and linear(which I am sure it is) the labels just help give an exact number

Trump's exit plan.
Donald Trump is getting nervous. Internal polls show him losing in November unless the economy comes roaring back.
But much of the economy remains closed because of the pandemic. The number of infections and deaths continue to climb.
So what is Trump’s re-election strategy? Reopen the economy anyway, despite the risks
Trump has proposed an absolutely brilliant exit plan.
Step 1
Remove income support, so people have no choice but to return to work.
Step 2
Hide the facts.
Step 3
Pretend it’s about “freedom”.
Step 4
Shield businesses against lawsuits for spreading the infection.
