Tiger Balm moment, scary as shit
Tiger Balm moment, scary as shit
About 2 months ago I was driving back on my moto, about 9pm I guess. I’d had about 4/5 beers, nothing unusual.
At the roundabout by the monument I pass out, I literally have no idea what happened. My bike hit something as the front wheel was at 45 degrees to where it should be. Apart from the marks on my face where my full face helmet had slammed into it, there wasn’t any other scratch on me or the bike. Weirdest thing.
I came to, I was being held up by friendly locals, one lady was rubbing tiger balm on my forehead which did nothing to help my general disposition- am I dying? My bike was 10 meters down the road on its stand and the helmet resting on the wing mirror. I thanked everyone and tried to ride off on my wonky bike, which the local didn’t think was such a good idea, and duly crashed again on the roundabout. This guy was in a hurry and obviously didn’t want a scene so we yanked our bikes apart and I slowly made it home.
First ever crash, memorable, stupid and probably avoidable, but the tiger balm lady put the shits up me more than anything else. Still have nightmares! (Joking)
Why do they do that, they were very helpful and supportive, but why the tiger balm?

If all your luck as you call it had run out you'd be dead. THE Tiger balm wakes most people up...
MAYBE YOU SHOULD BUY SOME!
MAYBE YOU SHOULD BUY SOME!
Lol just bought 10 little pots of it. No more ailments for me, ever!
You’ll have some badass scars but maybe reconsider the drinking and driving before you have a worse accident.
Be careful.
Be careful.

In China, hot water cures everything, so if you combine the two, you'd be invincible (as long as you stay in Asia).

Yes, definite wake up call
Knock it back
Have another one
Drinking and driving is so much fun
On the motor off you go
Not too fast and not too slow
Keep your head and keep your calm
Must avoid that tiger balm

None but ourselves can free our mind.
I found tiger balm to be great for curing my ears. Some sort of organic fungus attacking them here in the tropics, causing tinnitus, overproduction of earwax and a lot of pain, is relieved a great deal with a bit of tiger balm in and around the area.
Whenever someone falls off their moto they always say they only had a “few beers”. The fact you’ve no idea what happened points to you being rat arsed.
You’re lucky you were wearing a FF helmet.
I also broke my collarbone. Had a pin inserted.
It wasn’t my fault. My Tyres were cold.

pew, pew, pew, pew!
I’m not seeing how the kick stand would have any impact either, it would fold back under if you caught it on the ground. Probably worth some lessons back in civilized trafficland before you really injure yourself.
The MCrider channel on YouTube has excellent content on how not to kill yourself on a motorbike. The guy talks so slow you have to watch it at 1.5x speed, but the lessons are invaluable.

Meum est propositum in taberna mori,

Depends what bike. Dreams and other motos sure the side-stand will ping up but other bigger bikes it’ll flip you off, which is why they have micro switches so idiots don’t come off.
pew, pew, pew, pew!

Cambodia is on course to be the next Asian Tiger, and that is good news for America.
