RUBY PATRICIA WILKINS from Manchester arrested because boyfriend tagged Kampot bridge with “soren 2020”
She’s just as complicit as he is. She should get the same punishment as her boyfriend when he’s caught.

Do you know them?
No, I’m just saying she knew what he was doing and she took him along. So she herself was helping in the crime.

She was the Chaly getaway driver.
Bringing the news. You stay classy, nas, Cambodia.
I agree. I just wish that Kampot was Singapore.

He doesn't have permission. He's almost always painted illegally. Whoever is in charge of these things has decided that his work is art and Tox, Cosa, 10 Foot's etc are vandalism.
Why Is Banksy the Only Person Allowed to Vandalise Britain's Walls?I spoke to Nigel Brown, Tendring district council’s communication manager, in an attempt to get some answers. Initially he couldn’t make up his mind as to whether the piece had been removed for being offensive or illegal. Then he said it wasn’t illegal because Banksy had their permission, and that anything that “enhanced the area” would be allowed.
The local council, which removed it, said it did not know it was by Banksy.

To translate, retrospectively the local council decided Banksy = good and Tox = bad. He paints illegally. When he was painting it was illegal. He doesn't email the council and ask if its okay. He paints where he wants, illegally. And because Brad Pitt pays millions for his work the local council say they have no problem with it. If he repeated his Royal Oak dub or his little Met monkeys he would be in court.Alexandra wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 5:37 pmWhy Is Banksy the Only Person Allowed to Vandalise Britain's Walls?I spoke to Nigel Brown, Tendring district council’s communication manager, in an attempt to get some answers. I can't think of one example where Banksy outside of his exhibitions where he has ever asked permission to paint. Actually, the only example is of course The Walls on Fire paint jam in Bristol in 2003. Outside of that it has never happened.
He doesn’t have to ask for permission to have it. The point is that he’s not going to be arrested and charged because of who he is. It simply will not happen and cities are practically begging him to paint.
There are stories of him asking for permission however. For example

https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesig ... t-art-fameI had a house in Easton, Bristol – where Banksy used to hang out – which I was renting out to students. One day, one of the students phoned up to ask if his “graffiti artist friend” could do some artwork on the side. I thought it would be pretty cool but didn’t think much more about it. Years later, a friend of ours suddenly said, “Did you know you’ve got a Banksy on your house?” He showed me Banksy’s book, Wall and Piece, and there was our house, with a 32-foot mural on it, the full width of the building. It reminded me of Picasso’s Guernica.

I was in Berlin and my truck got tagged, four or 5 months later I was in Amsterdam and I saw a guy doing the exact same tag.... he was a little bit shocked when I confronted him , which was fair enough as I had a bit of a anger management issue in those days, anyway I issued him an on the spot fine.....

Imagine traveling overseas to a third world country and deciding the best use of your time is to spray paint your name onto walls and billboards illegally.

I was kidding and just trying to spark discussion about what is the difference, as Hanno’s statement was pretty strong against anyone that has ever done this. Now Banksy’s pictures are considered cherished art and cultural sites, however he used to tag a lot of things with just his name.
