I have had it for 7 years - imported myself directly from Germany. I am the second owner.
Price $12,000 - current market value for this type car $20,000 to $25,000.
Repairs needed:
Crankcase sensor: price in Europe Euro 40
Transmission ISM (Intelligent Servo Module): price in Europe anywhere from $200 to $400 for remanufactured parts - needs to be coded to the vehicle - shop in PP can do this
Airbag control module reset to its original state: there is a shop in PP who can do this. Approx. $100.
Transmission stuck in P so needs to be transported to shop. $300 from Kep to PP.
Labor: estimate $150.
It gave out on me on my way to PP (fortunately near my home in Kep) for the airbag reset.
I got a new car already and am simply tired of going back and forth to PP because only there can all this be done. Sometimes you even have to go to PP to pay the import duty.
I had a lot of things done before, e.g. power steering pump, tie rods, front bushings, etc. This is why the car is in good condition. I can help getting the parts shipped from Germany or other places in Europe. Import duty can be worked out so the 58% on parts comes out acceptable. Shipping would mostly be by DHL - estimated express mail cost $100 - items are very light and fit in a padded envelope. So you might be looking at $1500 total cost.

I've got the exact same model which I wanted to ship to Cambodia 2 years ago. I changed my mind when when I realised the import duty alone was 20 k. Overall a good car, never had any issues.

As a long-time pal of Mercman, I can tell you we have already discussed this car. Given the poor quality of diesel in Cambodia, neither of us would touch a diesel with a barge pole. And certainly not one at that price.

25% discount after 4 days should always be an alarm bell.
The car was launched with a 320 petrol and no diesel option. The first diesel was a common-rail 5 cylinder 2.7 diesel. Urban legend is that the only reason it didn’t launch with the far superior 320 Cdi was because the designers didn’t make the engine bay large enough to accommodate the 6 cylinder so they had to rush the development of the 5 cylinder. I can’t confirm or deny this, but I was flogging these things when they launched.
