Short-shorts, books, now sculptures on private property. Good to see that moral and cultural values are being upheld in the Kingdom.

"Phnom Penh: The Director of Kampong Cham Provincial Department of Culture and Fine Arts has reportedly ordered the owner of Smao Tonle Restaurant in Village 2, Sangkat Veal Vong, Kampong Cham City to immediately dismantle the artificial statue of Nokor Bachey Tower within 3 days.

The director of the Department of Culture and Fine Arts of Kampong Cham province said that the artificial statue of Nokor Bachey (also known as Banteay Prei Nokor) tower displayed at Smao Tonle restaurant is different from the original style. The tower of Nokor Bachey temple in the business has been replicated, but split into two parts.

Therefore, the department asks the restaurant owners to cooperate by completely dismantling this artificial structure within 3 days from September 1, 2020. "

I have no photos nor can I remember the name but that casino hotel on the hill above victory beach had an excellent replica of Angkor Wat on its lawn. 1999/2000, .

it was still there in the late teens but I dont think i to a photo of it

Candi bentar, or split gateway, is a classical Javanese and Balinese gateway entrance commonly found at the entrance of religious compounds, kraton palaces, or cemeteries.[1] It is basically a candi-like structure split perfectly in two to create a passage in the center for people to walk through.
