Some of the Chinese moon cakes can be pretty good if you go for the more expensive ones. They are selling them now.Jonno wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 4:28 pmDoes anyone know where we could buy a good old style fruit cake? The ones laden with dried fruits, nuts and spices. Been to the usual bakeries but they're just full of sugar filled birthday cakes in neon colors.

There used to be a shop near russian market called sisters bakery, they also have a place in Kampot. They did all sorts of specialty bread to order and think they also did a fruit loaf.
Do they still have a presence in PP?

Not sure about fruit cakes, but we bought an excellent chocolate birthday cake from Cake Gallery near Russian Market the other day. Very good service, highly recommended.
