I think they're both crooks.
Shouldn't come as any surprise, really.
They're politicians, for Pete's sake!
I recall the words of JFK:
'"Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."
These are empty words because they are all feathering their own (and their families') nests.
It's been going on for time immemorial.
Don't even start me on Kamala Harris, who has been described in one astute publication as ' The Tony Blair of San Francisco'.
Not much of a recommendation.

Why would you care springers? If your crackpot theories are true, politicians have no power anyway. The only powerful players are your mysterious ‘them’ who I take to be lizards or prince philip or bill gates or Rothschild or some other bete noire, depending on which YouTube channel you happened to be watching last night.

You used to be a decent debater but lately your best argument seems to be lame ad hominems.

I think you would find that your perception of me and the real person would be completely different.
Vice versa would, I am sure, equally apply.
Scobie, I am not going to be drawn.
Of course, I care. I'm sure you do, too.
The impact of the US election affects the whole world.
I don't want to be accused of 'polluting' any thread.
I just think neither of these guys is to be trusted.

But that’s the point springrain. It seems to me that if you have a worldview such as you profess, no one can be trusted. That must make life pretty depressing.
Is there anyone you trust?
There has to be an answer to all these conspiracies. What is it? What in your view is the solution or are we all doomed?

There is no one on 440 worth debating Visser. And no issues that I care enough about to make an effort.
None that I care to discuss on 440 anyway.
Lol.
Then why do we see you so often on 440?
Your current connection to the country is tenuous at best.....
Why not dust off your stellar web forum ownership skills and get into the game once again....
....but something more related to your current interests?
You could start a web forum dedicated to pensioners who foot the bill for their much younger wives harebrained business ventures in the Philippines.
Or something like that. Surely no shortage of prospective members who fit that bill.
I’d love to, but I have no knowledge of such things.
I don’t know any pensioners. I don’t know of any pensioners married to Philippine women either. In fact the only person I know married to a flip is Chuck wow, and I’m sure he is a couple of decades off pension age.
And I certainly know of no one footing the Bill for any business ventures in the Philippines, harebrained or not, either now or ever.
So - you see - I’d be as ill informed on that subject as you seem to be on me.
You need a better source GA. you’re losing your touch.

Because the USA made great promises about how they would lead the way here.
because, eg, they went to war on Indochina supposedly in that name.
and a whole bunch of countries including mine joined them in that war, under that promise.
And a whole bigger bunch of countries planned their destinies according to that promise. That was the agreed plan.
OK, if USA wants to suddenly pull out and forget about all that - fine.
But don't then get all upset when China flows into the vacuum.
And certainly don't whine winge and go all "victim" about no longer being prepared to be the world's policeman.
The USA twisted arms and made promises all over the planet in it's determined push to be the No 1 superpower.
They forced that vision on everybody, Vissor - and now they are an empty shell gone MIA when the crunch really comes.
- and more likely to challenge China in another pyritic war than being capable of building their own economic and foreign relations power in this region. "Too hard."
...then he smiled again, and slipped away, further on up the stream

I’m serious. There are no issues to discuss seriously. We live in a world of entrenched positions and no one moves. Our positions are reinforced by proofs we select to support them, and we reject any contrary proofs as lies and fake news.
Will I ever change your position on Trump? Of course not. Will you change mine? No.
It’s a waste of time and effort and at the end of the day it matters little to either of us what each of us believes.
Can’t be arsed with all that crap. I prefer to have shit and giggles trying to get springrain to articulate his position once and for all. It kills an hour now and again.
By going to war with Indochina you mean the Vietnam war that ended 45 years ago?Hairy-nosed Otter wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 10:08 pmBecause the USA made great promises about how they would lead the way here.

By that logic:
Hitler vowed to exterminate the jews, should Merkel re-open up Bergen Belsen and finish it?
