I wasn't referencing the 1991 war, as you well know. I meant the 2003 invasion of Iraq. I actually believe that Saddam and his family totally deserved to be obliterated. The problem is that the international community lied about the reasons to go to war. If they had just been honest and said that they think this guy and his sons are absolute cunts and need to be wiped off the face of the earth I would have agreed, instead they bullshit every nation about Weapons of Mass Destruction.Visser wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 9:50 pmSure mate, the invasion of Kuwait was totally staged.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 8:00 amThe Iraq war was started on false premises by the Republican Bush administration. How did you call that? Grasping at straws?

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Why did they deserve that? For helping their US allies by fighting a proxy war with Iran for them?

Even his knuckledragging base are finally seeing through his inept and blatant lies.
The c19 crisis is showing him up for what he is.

Hmmm, let us travel back a little further in time... and we see maybe the real reason Saddam ended up ruling Iraq. The CIA was his good buddy in 1963...Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 12:22 amI wasn't referencing the 1991 war, as you well know. I meant the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The same cannot be said for the two choices in the immanent election -- they are just random figureheads of history. Anyone can be president of the United States.
- It is a sad fact that the people and media are duped by the myth and illusion that holy democracy in America is actually what leads. In actuality, the tax system is automated to benefit the rich no matter who wins the Presidency, etc... There are no unions anymore and the brief protests against gun violence have yet to have any effect. Same as the race riots. It is all a glacial grinding between deeply stratified social estates, which do not interact with one another. There are too many sociologically entrenched pools of privilege and deprivation, like Ivy league generational education vs. the colored neighborhoods of Baltimore, Washington D.C, Philadelphia mired in perma-poverty, crime and police mayhem...
- HOW to change America? Get rid of the perverse sanctification of its legal structures -- like the constitution -- as if the words of the founding fathers were equivalent to a Bible or some other mystical myth system. By misinterpreting the constitution repeatedly, for example, and by pretending that the holy 2nd Amendment justifies massive gun ownership, the actual result is only more needless bloodshed; the actual fact is that these myths are promoted by capitalist entities (the NRA), which have nothing but the lust for money guiding them.
- But who dares to deconstruct the moronic idiocy of how the average American comes to believe that Bibles and Guns are good for them? It is a chore no saint dare perform, no genius is enlightened enough to pull off... The wish "to disillusion" or "disabuse" Americans of unnecessary ideological baggage is seen as a negative and destructive process: Americans are deeply superstitious people, and they do not tolerate analysis of their myths and contradictions. Much as Russians don't like to be asked why they favor authoritarian and anti-democratic leaders -- some taboos cannot be broken down into intelligible ideas and explanations...

I'm not really getting your point there. I'm quite aware that Saddam served a purpose, especially when he fought Iran. Osama Bin Laden was also on the payroll for some time but then times change. The illegal invasion of Iraq in 2003 resulted in an estimated 1 million deaths, how do you justify that?

I only meant that Saddam represents an ironic and contradictory policy move on the part of the U.S... They put him in power in the first place, and then they decide to take him out a few decades later... The States are the ones who enabled him to become despicable enough to warrant taking out. This is typical of the way the U.S. sets up autocratic puppets again and again, even though the puppets end up doing bad. Batista in Cuba, and Pinochet in Chile are examples, too...Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 10:04 pmI'm not really getting your point there.
