Yes, we can only hope that the conniving shyster ends up being accountable for all his crimes.

All joking aside. I could imagine he'd take getting banned from Twitter the hardest of all.

Sure, that was one of his best outlets.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
2021 prediction: Trump is banned from Twitter and turns to crowdfunding a social media platform with Alex Jones.

Now that the Electoral College has voted, and now that the Supreme Court has thrown out the ridiculous Texas challenge and that the tally is (I believe) 1-58 in law suits, I have a question.
Do those who believe the election was rigged (or to use felgerkarb’s phrase ‘interesting’) still cling to this narrative and, if so, how do they explain the fact that the courts have rejected these claims as being without merit or proof?

People cannot defend an article of faith with facts or logic.
The definition of faith renders these things irrelevant.
It is no accident that denial of climate change, denial of the efficacy and safety of vaccines, belief in various fundie xtian delusions such as the "young earth" and denial of the election results all go hand in hand.
Remember, many of these people are cheering on the end of the world in the name of their perverted religion.

"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
The desperately sad thing is that after clinging to the greased pole of hope for the last few things, they will now morph into angry denialism for the next few years.
In their mind, this has been a massive conspiracy by democrats, republican officials and the judiciary.
What’s odd though is that if the swing states were the ONLY states where corruption happened, why didn’t Biden win Florida or South Carolina too - or even Texas?

That's logic, and that does not apply, when you are a Republican. Then your own reality is THE reality. A show......scobienz wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:08 pmThe desperately sad thing is that after clinging to the greased pole of hope for the last few things, they will now morph into angry denialism for the next few years.

On the whole, I think, it is very good this all happened, since it is completely irrelevant what the diehard Republican thinks, but what the mid-field vote-swinger consider relevant. And those people learned what a demagogue can do for damage.
And Trumpie focused with his shows on the diehard Republicans, who would not be able to save him from this humiliation.

The more extreme individuals are already organized into hitlerian brownshirt militias.
Yesterday, the "Proud Boys" vandalized historic black churches in DC and beat up some people including unarmed females during their "steal the vote" rally.
" Oh we are not racists"
Trump flew over the Q Cucks Klan troops in his helicopter.
That will keep FBI and Homeland Security busy.
Though they are ludicrous, they are also dangerous,

700 Proud Boys marched in big and small groups, chanting and appearing to try to provoke confrontations.
In the aftermath of the protests, Black Lives Matter banners and signs were torn from two historic Black churches downtown and destroyed. A banner belonging to Asbury United Methodist Church, one of the oldest Black churches in the city, was set on fire.
Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D) tweeted Sunday that the District’s “faith-based organizations are at the very heart of our community and an attack on them is an attack on all of us.” She did not comment further. Police said they are investigating the incidents as potential hate crimes.
[Historic D.C. Black churches attacked during pro-Trump rallies Saturday]
Organizers of Black Lives Matter DC criticized police and the Bowser administration. They said they did not stage a counter-demonstration, but rather defended Black Lives Matter Plaza from an assault by white supremacists. They accused police of protecting the Proud Boys as they marched through the District, and “threatened lives, damaged historic churches, destroyed and burned property.”

Immediately after the election there was lot of funny speculation about how he would have to be carried screaming out of the White House.
The longer this goes on, the more that no longer sounds like a Saturday Night Live sketch. As more and more GOP senators acknowledge reality - even that mewling sycophant Graham and the grotesque McConnell - literally every avenue is now finished to him.
Could we really see him being escorted off the premises by the Sergeant at Arms?
What times we live in

It's pretty simple, he is going to pardon every criminal in his surroundings, steps down just a few days before Jan 20 and subsequently lets Pence pardon him on all running federal level crimes he is becoming charged for. Fortunately, that does not preclude him from being charged for state level crimes, of which his tax frauds might provide the highest jail time.
Let us see, how strong Pence his moral is, once this starts to unfold.
I’m not convinced v12. He currently faces no federal indictments and I’m not sure a preemptive pardon is constitutionally possible. Besides, any decision to pursue federal charges would be a political decision - or would look like one - and I suspect the new administration would try to avoid that.
Besides, they don’t need to. He and his family will face significant legal exposure from state charges relating to his business and tax affairs, the inauguration expenses issue and such like, all being pursued at state level.
He can’t be pardoned for those. He literally has nowhere to hide.
