Some Cambodian Embassies seem to be more sympathetic with visa applicants than others. Some accept a marriage certificate to a Cambodian as sufficient for an "Ordinary" (E-type) entry visa, but others demand a Patent Tax certificate and Business Registration License. For Embassies in the later group, the question is, will they actually check the photocopied docs are valid?
Will the tax office respond promptly to all Embassy/Consulate requests? Ministry of Commerce? Or are all records of these docs searchable online by these same Embassies/Consulates? How can they validate the docs in a reasonable time?
I certainly won't courier prospective employees the original docs, though staff will be available to answer questions if Embassies get in touch. However, will the Embassies bother?
On the flip side, prospective employees must trust prospective employers that the docs are legit. Can they fairly be blamed if the docs are fake? (Not that fairness is necessarily important. Immigration could ban someone future entry on a whim.)
My current Patent tax certificates, and Business registrations are all up in frames on the wall next to the Royal Family. If I recall correctly, they are up there by law. Pretty easy to walk through many businesses and snap a clear enough picture. Online, hundreds of Khmer Companies have their Certificates posted to prove they are legit. Just Google and pick one?
It wouldn't be risk free, it IS fraud, linked to your passport, address, etc., and you are presumably applying in a real country where a palmed $100, wouldn't purchase a 'get out of jail' card, but I'd guess some 'not-applicable' doc copies are already in Embassy work trays.
