Makes me ill. Those pizzas look as dreadful as the regular pastry items on offer in Cambodia. At least they are adjusting the concept of pizza to the local population (I hope they aren't thinking foreigners will eat those?). I wouldn't be surprised if they have a smattering of sweetness to them BLAH.. and if you compare the Pizza Company "pizza" to those on offer at Garage.... NO Competition....jm wrote:As posted here a while back:

Well, I can confirm that Il Bruntizzo's pizze served et La Garaggia beat those at Pizza Co. upside down.
Though there was no Beck's initially, a big case did arrive as I left.
Kingdom beer was a good substitute.
BTW, I've passed through Milano on a sleeper train and eaten in Italian owned pizzerias so I don't feel one bit pretentious.

Becks $12 caseSunSan wrote: Though there was no Beck's initially, a big case did arrive as I left.

Kingdom $24 case.
Would $5 be a good substitute in you change for $10 next time?
How is the new brew anyway. As you were comparing it to Becks is it as good/better or about the same?
... several hours later
Had a bottle in 69 tonight (it was free-ish), managed to finish this one unlike the first I tried ( a test batch apparently) will being sticking to what I like. Might suit some people and a change is as good as a rest but it didn't suit me. Beer Lao is the one for me, they can't confuse it with Anchor or Angkor. It's made to a German recipe using imported malts and grains etc. Well that's according to the website and it's still a winner.
I don't buy beer in bulk, so I don't know what whole sale prices are like. Beck's costs 1.75 at Garage, I think Kingdom is similar. I was thinking taste-wise a good ersatz.
Brunt gave me the advice to drink it out of a glass and to let it stand for a couple of minutes, and he was right. Better than out of the bottle.

Yes, I still do. Seems smoother going down.dv8inpp wrote:Does that mean you prefer Becks over Kingdom?SunSan wrote: I was thinking taste-wise a good ersatz.
2.50? Didn't even notice that, I was so bowled over by the pizza and the funny music that was on when we came in...
Don't make me laugh, LJ.It is a good thing for the new brewery that PP is not full of poor underfunded souls like myself.
