in PP where would you live ?
I know it's a very mostly personal choice/bias where one would live in PP, but I am moving back and need some ideas, have a budget of upto $300 but don't really want to go that high (lol) previous I lived st 136 which was noisy as hell, never lived in BKK but seen a few ads for 1 bed apartments for $120.... ideas / thoughts would be an idea please, ta....
Like many expats here, I started in Daun Penh near the riverside. Each move has been progressively farther away. i currently live near Russian Market and quite like the area, and housing prices are much lower here than in BKK I or II. There are also plenty of convenience stores and restaurants of all types. The area due north of here, between Monivong and St. 173 as far north as Sihanoukville is similar and only slightly more expensive, and includes BKK III. I have never seen a place in BKK I or II for $120, but have seen several for $180-$300. However, each one had at least one issue that was a deal-breaker for me, and I don't actually like the area very well.
I live in 178 between Pasteur and Norodom opposite Sihanouk High School - great central location. Have an apartment coming up the end of this week round the corner in Pasteur - 2 bedrooms, $300, E3. Drop me a PM
There is nothing more Australian than spending time in somebody else's country
French abbreviation used here to designate floors - E3= Estage 3 or third floor not counting ground which is E0

I got a 3rd floor, pretty new, 1 bedroom apartment on the corner of 178 and norodom (behind gym bar) for $270 including water and cable. Power only 720r/kw too. Last bill was $22.
Not much noise, good view of norodom, sorya and Pasteur area and decently furnished.
