best pizza
I tried that pizza joint that sells all there 30cm pizza for 5$ forget the name, sounded like a French guy on the phone.
Looked way better than it was. Don't get me wrong, wasn't that bad for 5$

It's called pizza pram, on st 130
I had the Capricciosa last night there, it was great, but like you say it did have a couple of small pools of oil, still didn't detract too much from the taste. The staff were almost too eager, I had no sooner put my knife down and she was keen to clear away my plate. I'd go there again.Clutchen Menuts wrote:Capricciosa. Only complaint - a bit sort of oily but very delicious . $ 10.50 and worth every penny. Place only just opened, so staff a bit green but thats OK. Give them time to settle in.
Its quite a large place with two floors (smoking upstairs) and I'm sure it could accommodate groups, let them know in advance though as it is new and they might want a bit of warning, the owner seemed like a nice guy.

chcked this place out today and have to say that it was a bit of a let down for me. but everybody has their own taste, but here are the reasons I didnt like this placeClutchen Menuts wrote:FYI Giorgio from Pop has a new place, Dolce Italia - Sotheros Bld near the Hong Kong center Viet Park.
Hands down best pizza in PP
1- it had pools of oil on it, witch made it soggy in the middle and pretty much like mush.
2- had to cut it yourself, witch I wouldnt mind if the middle was as solid as the outer parts.
3- I dont remember the name of the pizza(i think napoletana), but it was supposed to be one of the saltier ones with black olives and anchovies. wasnt supprised that the olive wasnt as salty as I'd like, but I'm not sure what kind of fish it was(maybe tuna or herring) but it wasnt anchovy.

I don't mind a bit of oil on a pizza. It belongs there. Cheese contains fat, better cheese contains more fat, is it supposed to be drained before serving?
I'll also wait to comment until I write up the thing, but reminds me of that quote 'pizza is like sex, even when it's bad it's still pretty good'.
It's probably olive oil and its great for dipping the pizza crust edges in. Looks good to me.
Agree. Scarpino's is quite ok. I sometimes stop at the Norodom one before going home.
