Garage Bar vs Zep Bar
Kinda surprised that last night Garage Bar opened on a holiday night when it was supposed to be closed and just about every 440 reg had been quietly invited to attend (by text or phonecall) but I hadn't.
Cheers, jm - I'll be drinking at Zep* at weekends in future where the music is just as good. I'll take my money elsewhere.
*I went to Zep last night for the first time in 7 years since they were near Psah Thmei and they remembered me. It's a shame you couldn't remember me from last Thursday.

Me neither. I'm going to make St Kilda Cellars my preferred drinking spot now!keeping_it_riel wrote:Kinda surprised that last night Garage Bar opened on a holiday night when it was supposed to be closed and just about every 440 reg had been quietly invited to attend (by text or phonecall) but I hadn't.

I'd say beware the Ide's of April, but it kinda sounds naff.

Jesus Christ, no offence but you sound like a pouting kid. Did you really need to post this on an online forum (even if it's yours)? It might have hurt your feelings on the spot but I'm sure by Monday you'll feel fine. Grow up dude (this also applies to Violet).

You'll be happy to know, KiR, that King Lear, musicman2 and I didn't make the invitation list either. Of course, it would have nothing to do with my describing Garage as "cliquey".

The real reason jm did not invite KiR is because of a forthcoming front page article entitled "I Print Geek Lie or do I?" in regards to jm's audophile credentials, apparently procured from some on-line Thai University which is a legitimate business front for the mafia syndicate commonly known as ThaiVisa. KiR with his razor-sharp investigative skills saw through the façade of the bogus certificate instantly, as it was printed by a dot matrix, on recycled paper an obvious indicator of trying to keep costs as low as possible.
For those who don't know what the fuck I am talking about "I Print Geek Lie" is an anagram of Keeping it Riel, doh!

So we've established that K440 posters are so lame that some of them ride up and down St. 110 on nights that Garage Bar should be closed, just to see if it is open. The posters who don't do that are sitting home figuring out anagrams of other posters' names. This is just embarrassing.

I must confess my guilt, but in this particular instance I was dragged there by connecticuter as part of a lucid dream experiment.gavinmac wrote:So we've established that K440 posters are so lame that some of them ride up and down St. 110 on nights that Garage Bar should be closed, just to see if it is open. Too too serious, right frontal lobe removed.... supposedly the area dealing with humour.jm wrote:Audiophilia, from which I have long suffered, doesn't necessarily mean high cost investments (though it usually does). I use Home Depot Patio Cord (an extension cord) for speaker cables.
For xmas I'll bung you a copy of how to make friends and influence people. Maybe not, you can't teach an old dog new tricks...gavinmac wrote:So we've established that K440 posters are so lame that some of them ride up and down St. 110 on nights that Garage Bar should be closed, just to see if it is open.
