Note to self: Must be nice to morons.
These are widely used in East Africa and are quite durable....
They have a low centre of gravity that helps stability - unlike the current tuktuk.
They have 3 wheel brakes and can actually stop quickly.
The driver is much more comfortable and is protected from sun and rain - as are his passengers
The engine is easy to repair and is economical (it requires regular maintenance just like a moto)
They will be probably 3 times more expensive than a current tuktuk.....and you cannot disconnect the carriage and use the moto by itself.
I have sent an email to the OP for a description of the unit and the LPG system....that I have not seen and will be interested to see what safety issues they have addressed to get the LPG cylinder secured.
But - as Cambodia grows - they could be the family Tico freight mover and shopping trolley for upwardly mobile Khmers.....

You could take a T34 tank, encase it in rubber and pack it in polystyrene, and a Khmer would figure out how to have a fatal accident in it. It's like..in space, no one can hear you scream...in Cambodia, NO vehicle is safe. This is the final frontier in safety-testing matters.
ירי ילדים והפצצת אזרחים דורש אומץ, כמו גם הטרדה מינית של עובדי ההוראה.
LOL.....vladimir wrote:You could take a T34 tank, encase it in rubber and pack it in polystyrene, and a Khmer would figure out how to have a fatal accident in it. It's like..in space, no one can hear you scream...in Cambodia, NO vehicle is safe. This is the final frontier in safety-testing matters.
If you don't ask you never get.....eventually tuktuks will be phased out and there will be a need to have an alternative vehicle....maybe the LPG Bajaj is the right one....the petrol ones are pretty awful polluters in Bangkok.
And pigs will fly - bongs will have to get a driving license and know the road rules....

Too bad for u guys. He replied to me and I've already wired some funds to his account as a deposit. He was afraid I'm not a serious business man. I'm still waiting for his confirmation of receiving the wire transfer.... I'll keep u posted...Bitteeinbit wrote:He never replied me either...

Ack. Looking forward to additional info. He is most likely a very busy man so give him at least a week or so to reply regarding your wire transfer.
Fair enough. I think he said it would take a few extra days, as I had to transfer it to his account in Nigeria first, and then he could transfer it to his main account in London. I'm getting a lil nervous...Bitteeinbit wrote:Ack. Looking forward to additional info. He is most likely a very busy man so give him at least a week or so to reply regarding your wire transfer.

Thats perfectly normal, Nigeria is emerging as a huge banking hub as many banks have set their headquarters there so most wire transfers have to pass by there before reaching a regional branch anyways. Not to boast but I know this because I have intimate connections with royalty there.
Prince Boateng?
Not to knock you, BeB, but in West Africa a lot of people are connected to royalty.

I know him. At least it might be the same guy. His brother was left money from an oil account that the govt forgot about and now his oldest child had me set up an account with a little money to transfer the money to. I will get 10%. Yes, it turns out to be a very good deal all around. I intend to supplement my income that way on a regular basis. In fact, he is sending me a first class ticket to visit my money there. Maybe I can bring a tuk tuk back with me.
