Yeah vlad I think the jaundice/hepatitis is a symptom of whatever she has not the cause, from here in Australia I just have no way of getting anything done.
Mint I was not aware of that, if its true maybe it's better to leave her there and have someone like Doctor Scott to look at her? Now I'm even more confused. As for taking her to him I don't think that is the best idea, when I saw her she was intubated, so on reflection moving her to Ratanak might not be the best as she is anyway. Any one know how to get in contact with Doctor Scott or a similarly recommended Doctor?

Here is his clinic's website, I'm sure it's up to date.
http://www.travellersmedicalclinic.com/index.html
The information listed under "our services" suggests that he doesn't treat seriously ill patients in hospitals. I don't know.

I did see that Dr Scott doesn't treat emergency cases, I didn't really expect him to any way as from my understanding he's more a super GP.
Fired of an email any way just hoping for some advice on whether I should have her moved or not. Apparently the doctor is coming around in the next hour so I'm just waiting so I can talk to him and maybe get some better info.
Once again thanks for the help everyone, I'm probably being a worry wart but I don't care at the moment, just want the best outcome.

Did you say that you are in Australia at this moment? You might want to head over here. Not just for helping, but realistically put you might actually never get to see your missus again. Sorry for being straight to the point, but unless you get over here you're most likely going to regret that you were not here no matter the outcome.

Honestly mate even if I left right now I couldn't possibly be there until Tuesday afternoon, its a 12hr trip to Melbourne from here. I am pretty sure one way or the other an outcome will be evident well before then, but once I know one way or the other I will probably be making the trip.
Thanks.
Thanks.

No offense, but it isn't like the movies. Once you go unconscious on your own there is a high likelihood you don't return.
I'd get her to the best hospital they have (already mentioned).

If your partner or yourself are sick in Cambodia go to a hospital NOW, drag them kicking and screaming if that's what it takes. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE

That last message didn't sound too good. Hope your wife is alright, PJMack.
I had a very important critical test done recently by Dr Scott and he was annoyingly blase about it. I doubt I'd go to him again for anything other than the routine.
Rated R for Ricecakes

Yalin passed away 11.00am this morning (local time) I still do not know why.
Dr Scott gave us some good advice, on he's own time on a Sunday with no offer of payment, so YMMV but I would highly recommend him.
Understandably we are all devastated.
Calmette insisted on immediate cremation. In my experience this is extremely rare, please if anyone knows, don't they usually release the body to the family for cremation and funeral rights?
I know I asked for this thread to be locked but as long as it's productive I am happy for it to stay open.
Again and again to every one, thank you for all the input (special shout to Gav I would have never thought to contact Dr Scott)
Sincerely Phil.

Really really sorry to hear this PJ. Our thoughts are with you.
I came, I argued, I'm out
This is the saddest thread I've ever read I think.
Sorry to hear this and I'll be thinking of you and the fam. Hang in there man.
