Best Way to Transfer AUD/USD from Paypal to A Cambodian Bank
My next avenue will looking at ANZ bank, and see if it can't be transferred that way...from Oz to Cambodia...
Yes, that's what I get charged too.Telesales wrote:So far, I'm pulling my limit daily from Canadia, and depositing it here in Cambodia. I'm getting charged 1% it seems by Paypal, $3 for every $300 withdrawn...

The AUD is on its way UP!! Already 0.931 at time of writing, was just 0.88 just a week or so ago ... one election ... haha! Some say it can go up to 0.96 in a couple of weeks! I'm banking on 0.95 ...
And down the Aussie tumbles today, thanks to increased unemployment rates.
What's with the new ID Telesales? Did you get banned using your previous one?

Still up from .88 a week ago! You're a real negative person, aren't you?

Depends on the level of incompetence we see in Australian politics. If the idiots can simply get out of the way, stop taxing every last drop of blood, and let the Australian resource sector and strong fundamentals keep the Aussie dollar, I see the dollar moving back up around $1 into the next 6 to 12 months. The US economy seems to have a resurgence so that maybe driving the AUD down tooTelesales wrote:An aside topic, but of equal importance: you Aussies and forex traders, how do you think the AUD / USD (the inverse of many currencies) will do in the next few months? Bernanke, Rudd, etc....
It's all dizzying, no need for speculation or lengthy political discussions, but some basic strong reasoning and up or down will be perfect, thanks...Or course China is a factor, we know, with the AUD economy, and the US is often the inverse of most currencies, if it goes down, everything else goes up...so let's factor that in...
Currently at 0.92 AUD to 1 USD, but it's been up and down. Been down to 0.89 recently (which is a $30 loss on a $1000 AUD exchange!). What's the short-term (next few months to six months)?
Why not get a US based address with the US shipping services, then get the US based paypal card? Wouldn't this allow for savings in the paypal fees? Alternatively I would look at the possibility at getting paid in a gold/silver backed bank account or even maybe in bit-coins...which I think may have strong growth into the future

The problem with this strategy is that if PayPal decide to freeze your account for whatever reason, you will need US IDs and proof-of-address (utility bills etc) to unfreeze it. Surely you would also need a verified US PayPal account, i.e. linked to a US credit card or bank account, to get the US PayPal card in the first place?infinitus wrote: Why not get a US based address with the US shipping services, then get the US based paypal card? OK, all you naysayers .. even those from NZ, we know you don't like the AUD ...telesales1 wrote:The AUD is on its way UP!! Already 0.931 at time of writing, was just 0.88 just a week or so ago ... one election ... haha! Some say it can go up to 0.96 in a couple of weeks! I'm banking on 0.95 ...
AUD is hanging. Over and above 0.94. That's a 6.8% increase since I started my job. Cool. Nice bonus ... Glad I saved most of it, hahaha! Those Aussies advised me to hold onto it until after the election, go Nat-Libs!
And go Obama! You'll drive the USD down, making the AUD stronger! Woohoo!

Not sure what you're on about. The Aud is definitely down from 6 months or so ago. It will only go down further in the next six months. May affect the $500 you have saved.telesales1 wrote:OK, all you naysayers .. even those from NZ, we know you don't like the AUD ...telesales1 wrote:The AUD is on its way UP!! I may be going out on a limb here, but..... Anybody getting investment advice from an internet forum probably shouldn't try making money off currency speculation. But then again, anybody who would have that tendency probably doesn't have much to lose anyhow.
