Hello all,
I have a question that may have been asked already before.
With the high number of ducks raised here in Cambodia, did someone already tried to feed them in order to make "foie gras"?
Thanks for your return!

You need to do it in an airconed laboratory. Electricity prices make Vietnam a much better choice for that reason.
I found some farms raising ducks in this objective in Vietnam but cannot find any way of getting it here in Cambodia...Somebody know?jelau wrote:Are they doing this currently in Vietnam? Do you have contacts?

There are ways to ethically raise ducks and geese for foie gras, and there are producers in the US doing it. As a duck owner myself, I can easily imagine my ducks happily lining up for a feeding tube. This article about the topic is pretty interesting: The Physiology of Foie: Why Foie Gras is Not UnethicalHanno wrote:You do NOT need aircon but the ethics of it are another matter.

We are pretty far from the US.
I don't eat it anymore, but that is mostly for health reasons.
