Do you think the papers have started substituting 'Khmer driver' for 'Chinese driver' out of some National face saving initiative?
There number of serious accidents in high end vehicles attributed to 'Chinese' over the last few months is suspicious.

I reckon it's far more likely that they are just drunkards. Even the Iranians are at it.Petrol Head wrote:Do you think the papers have started substituting 'Khmer driver' for 'Chinese driver' out of some National face saving initiative?

It's a Chinese conspiracy to send Cambodia back into the dark ages. One electricity pole at a time.

The Chinese are well advancing in various other fields as well, not only drunk luxury car crashers. Lately we've seen things like killings, boiler room operations, abductions and so on... I guess it's just their numbers that are increasing.Petrol Head wrote:Do you think the papers have started substituting 'Khmer driver' for 'Chinese driver' out of some National face saving initiative?

I honestly can't recall a frequency of Chinese crashes at the current rate before 2015.
There has always been Chinese representation among the late night KTV collision enthusiasts, but this is getting ridiculous.
Boomer - you'd be able to confirm, how many Chinese have crashed in the last 2 months, 8 ?
One was a LX570 and the other was a GL550 - neither are cheap vehicles. Who are these people ? Corrupt Chinese Federales lamming it ? Gangsters ? Garment factory owners ?

They obviously aren't leaving home because of the crackdown on internet gambling. Those crazy expats...

I thought there was a bit of a nip in the air.
