What's the procedure for khmers to apply for a passport?? And what are the prices?
Need family book and birth certificate.
Fill in paperwork from the passport office.
Take family book and paperwork to passport office. Wait for a few hours (unless you get straight into an office)
Pay $130 and come back in a month please.
Or pay $250 (iirc) and come back in a few days.

I posted this back in November last year...
Went with the missus to the passport office about 5 weeks ago, I was surprised at how efficient the staff and the entire process was. There are dozens of fixers hanging around who will help you fill in the forms and point you in the right direction for a small fee, but there really is no need.
Go in get the forms, fill them out, provide photocopies of ID, Family Book or Carnet de residence and Birth certificate. Take all paperwork and follow the footseps along the floor, stopping at each section (biometrics, photo, payment, etc). Missus took the 4 week return option $100. Total time it took from entering to exiting the.compound was approximately 40 mins.
3 weeks.later she got a.phone call saying her passport was ready to collect. I'm impressed with the quality of the new style passports, hard plastic bio page, valid for 10 years and 60 pages for visas/stamps.
Well done to the Passport.department, one govt department that seems to have their shit sorted.

I paid for a family member to go and get a passport last week ..I gave them $150 and got $30 back,,,, I was told , it cost $110 , plus $5 for photo,
[ ok that's plus $5 for gas and eat rice ] and would be ready in 45 days.
Family book and birth cert needed.

It's heartening to hear about your efficient and positive experience at the passport office. Quick processing times and user-friendly procedures are definitely commendable. The 10-year validity and added visa/stamp pages are valuable improvements. Kudos to the Passport Department for their smooth operation and excellent service!PSD_Kiwi wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2016 11:17 amI posted this back in November last year...

I think,
The passport application process for Khmers usually involves gathering required documents, completing forms, and visiting the passport office. Prices can vary based on the type of passport and processing speed.Nrega Job Card Lists

Your experience in obtaining a Cambodian passport twice, once seven years ago, using family book and ID card due to your ex-partner's lack of a birth certificate, highlights the challenges individuals might face when navigating official documentation processes.Nrega Job Card List
