Traffic police never deal with murders anyway, and most of the police /law-enforcement doesn't deal with traffic fines.krisduncs wrote:There is too much money to be made on traffic duty these days,to be bothering with silly little things like murders. Its getting like the UK where the only time you see a copper is when they are speed trapping you.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

Poor man. RIP.
At least the wait is over for his family and they can go through grieving.

Well, not a Russian gang anyhow. Is it a nice place? Maybe he just decided to top himself somewhere more beautiful than China?scobienz wrote:Let's not let our imaginations get away from ourselves. The guy had been in Cambodia only a few days before he disappeared. He is unlikely to have become a victim of a gang hit in that short time.MONEYBACKGUARANTEE wrote:Did he have any debts with the local biker gangs?
Does seem odd that it took so long to discover the body though. The smell must have been atrocious, not to mention the dogs etc milling around. Seems like the locals just decided to not get involved earlier for some reason.

Brilliant. He wasn't murdered because he may have been sick. He wasn't murdered because he may have committed suicide. We don't know. But he definitely wasn't murdered.Police said they were unable to determine if the man died of natural causes or suicide, but confirmed he was not murdered. Colonel Kol Phally led the police team that examined the body about 7 pm on Wednesday. “He died from disease, not murder,” Mr. Phally said.
I reckon if half the bodies were repatriated they would find a large hole in the top of their heads , a bit like that guy from Finland that almost died in that Koh Rong robbery.
My mate in Vietnam was telling me that his pal died in Thailand. The family and friends raised the money for the ridiculous repat charges. He had committed suicide so the Thai authorities had said. Funny that when they got the body back he had several knife wounds all over him. No bullshit.
Is that area known for European Men visiting looking for younger same gender friendships?
He was the Manager of the Booth House Salvation Army hostel in Whitechapel Road, London.

The area where his body was found or Sihanoukville in general? Are you suggesting that he may have been looking for this?whatty wrote:Is that area known for European Men visiting looking for younger same gender friendships?
I'm not suggesting. I am asking if the area is known for it?

If it was a hook up spot, wouldn't the man have been found much sooner ? Seems to me that there's absolutely no need to be so clandestine. SV isn't Tehran.

Michael was my brother. He is was much loved and so missed. He was a normal hardworking person who does not deserve this treatment. None of you knew him I did. I can only hope that none of your families are faced with all this crap about the circumstances of your death. Because at this it us not nice and I hope that your are all very pleased with yourselves. Shame on you all

Yes you are suggesting, otherwise why ask, especially why register to ask that question. You either are here to smear this man for some reason or you have something you think you know that want to say. So spit it out. What is your point?whatty wrote:I'm not suggesting. Why does every expat death in Cambodia turn into some bullshit conspiracy theory?
