do you have secure moto parking? and are any of your rooms equipped with a kitchen?casper_uk wrote:As much notice as possible is always good, we're pretty full now.
We're in downtown, so about as far away from a beach as you can get, that said, it's $1 on a moto, or $2 in a Tuk Tuk. Some of the guys even walk to the beaches which can take about 30 mins.

Both of the suites with Kitchen are taken at the moment, the guys have stayed with us for some time already and I doubt they'll be leaving anytime soon.
We do have another two room apartment, no kitchen though. That's available from the 26th.
We have a guard outside, but we all know how reliable they are, we have a large lobby and guests are welcome to bring their bikes inside at night.

Initially, I said, "Lets go shopping in Bangkok!" She hasn't got a passport.Playboy wrote:Do you see where you went wrong there ...keeping_it_riel wrote: ... my GF ... and asked her where she'd like to go...
So that's it then. We'll be spending wet, windswept afternoons knocking back 50 cent Angkor drafts on Victory Hill and evenings at Charlie Harper's.
Is there a dress policy on Victory Hill? I'm wondering if I'll get turned away from any bars for not wearing a wifebeater vest.

Yes. No panties allowed during pole-dancing.keeping_it_riel wrote:Is there a dress policy on Victory Hill?
When dancing with other nationalities, allowed, as they know how to remove them.

I agree with you casper, one can look at the turd in the gutter, or the nice trees in the park just next to it...There is the negative element in any city or town in the worldcasper_uk wrote:Definitely, I really don't understand where all this bitterness and disinformation started from, some perspective please.
I'm sure I've said before, but I visit PP often, well at least every two months for a few days. I claim it's a 'shopping trip' and in truth it mainly is. I like it there, but there is no way i'd live there, although I did consider it but the price of setting up a business was prohibitive considering the competition.
I've been here in Sihanoukville for some time now, and I love the place. I've been with the same partner for 7 years and I am happy to be taking care of her 13 year old son. Her 18 year old niece is also working in the business (kitchen assistant), we're also putting her through English Lessons (never had any previous schooling).
Most of my friends here are either Married to Khmer, Thai or Vietnamese women, or they are Western Females, also Married.
I don't like Victory Hill or Ochheuteal Beach, though I do occasionally visit.
Places that are much nicer exist.
There are plenty of nice people in nice bars, there are nice hotels and there are nice restaurants (including no less than 8 Japanese owned establishments).
Sadly, some peoples view of Sihanoukville is archaic, nevertheless they refuse to change.
There is prostitution, sexpats, druggies, pedophiles and alcoholics in Phnom Penh, and every other city in the world. You just do what you can to surround yourself with good people.
As for Snooky I really enjoyed my stay. Excellent well priced specials at mick and Craigs guesthouse, plenty of very interesting places to see, great beaches and off course cheaper in general than P.P.
