Snookyville.com for sale
Domain name snookyville.com for sale.
I imagine it would do alright with accommodation booking site affiliate programs if you generated search engine/social media traffic from visitors.
I'm sure there would be other non-passive ways to make money for people living there.
A good way for someone who isn't retired to build up a decent income with some upfront work.
Even better as Cambodia becomes a more popular expat/traveler/vacationer destination.
Message me if you're interested.

I expect that's worth a lot as tourists wjo have never been to Cambodia all refer to sihanoukville as snookyville and it's not just a group of grizzled old pissheads in wife beaters sipping whiskey at breakfast that use the term. Top hole.
Ok...bad news....

"We are turning into a nation of whimpering slaves to Fear—fear of war, fear of poverty, fear of random terrorism, or suddenly getting locked up in a military detention camp on vague charges of being a Terrorist sympathizer." HST
Snookyville is not a commonly enough used term to warrant a purchase.
Unfortunate about shitsville since that is the more common name. In fact I believe it is more often referred to as Shitsville than Sihanoukville at this point, especially amongst the expat crowd.
Separately, I will unfortunately be taking a trip there in the next month, any tips on where to eat in that DUMP are appreciated.

I disagree, the branding benefits outweighs any Google search queries.
Nobody uses the name, but everyone who plans on going there has heard of it.
If I don't end up finding a buyer, I might use it as a little parody news site to get a little creative writing in. I bet it would still get lots of visitors and some affiliate sales. Actually, doing that in my spare time with the hope for a few pennies back is worth more than a hundred bucks.
Bernie's Burgers is also decent. About $10 per double burger with extra toppings (not the free stuff) but very tasty.
There's good food down there. Probably the best sashimi restaurant in the country and some very good French places.

It always amuses me that Pig Penh residents call SV 'Shitsville' when you literally live in a bowl of poop soup all rainy season. I hope you're enjoying the 'sous vide' treatment in your steaming hellhole this April and May. Why the fuck would you take a trip to 'Shitsville" when you detest the place so much ? (Feel free to to lie). I assume you're getting out of the heat most likely. You must be an imbecile to insult the fuck outta us down here & then ask for restaurant recommendations. The weather is perfect with a strong breeze & lately it's the 1st time that I can see far out to sea in months & months. The Indonesian smoke is blowing somewhere else of late. Since you hate SV so much, why not cool off with nice refreshing PP canal swim ? BTW. Video courtesy of GM at CEO:GMJS-440 wrote:Snookyville is not a commonly enough used term to warrant a purchase.

It does not matter what a web address is called its to do with indexing and key words within the web pages, and other Google/Bing wizardry.
Your page could be called fghjiyrv.com but if your site has been built correctly you'll get hits, whether that's through AdWords or organic listings.
Just because people search for "snookville" it does not mean your website snookville.com will get top listing.
The only way it will benefit will be for ease of remembering for potential customers/traffic but then they should have it bookmarked anyway.

I'm pretty sure the main benefit of the name will be the authority that comes with it, which will be important for conversion rate.
It's an exact match dot com for the unofficial name of the town whether you like it or not.
Who would even click through to hgfjiyrv.com from Google?
And btw, Google (search engines) isn't the internet, it's one of many traffic sources.
Yes google isn't the internet but equally you wouldn't go to Facebook.com to search the web either. What's your point?
Google and bing are search engines where people search.
Incidentally, I just googled (and binged) "snookyvile" and you're right it did come up. On the fourth page. On this thread. didn't even show up on Google.
And how are people supposed to find that website if t doesn't come up in search results?
Is it your website?
