Immigration want me to go for interview tomorrow (visa extension related)
The complete opposite of interesting in fact.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
But did they give you the extension, and did you have to pay any tea money?
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.
no extension they weren't interested in doing it nor the sound of money made them interested. i think as i was there an agent who was trying to get them to do it also speaking khmer and he kept giving them back my passport lol but they were refusing. i think they may have called the agency in snooky who passed it off to another agency in pp and he was from them. so long story short can overstay or go back and make new. ill go back to KL at weekend and make a new one.

I still don't follow you. But anyway, go to another agent, such as Lucky Lucky, which seems to have powerful friends, and have them get you an extension.

Yeah I wouldn't like to risk the same immigration guys seeing my passport again...then I think they would fuck me if they remembered my name and I had to sign some paper saying sorry my papers fell out.
I know I can apply for new passport in cambodia but it takes 8 weeks to come. could I just pay 2 months of overstay then wh3n new passport comes then could do a 6 months entension from old visa after overstay? or if you take the piss with overstay would they be funny about it

2 months overstay
30 days @$5/ $150
30 days @$6/ $180
$330 why?
you would than need to leave and re enter with a visa in the new passport,
Visas ( nor extensions) are transferred to new passports, u usually just carry both til the extension expires. AFAIK

As a law-abiding citizen, I'm not sure how I can live the guilt. Perhaps I should drive up to the airport right now and confess all.Don-Pierre de Plume wrote:We are not allowed to make any changes in our passports. So glueing back in is definately an illegal activity...

The Brit embassy issue emergency passports, good for a trip outside and return to cambodia 1 time only, but valid for 6 months and with 3 pages for visas.
If your country does this, then get 1, get on a plane, come back and get whatever the business visa is called and extend it until your new passport comes through.
Probably cost the same as the overstay, but an excuse to get out, buy you some time and avoid giving hard earned cash to immigration here.

Unless you lied to them or reneged on some agreement I don't see why it should be any issue. It's very likely that your butchered passport will be noticed by immigration when you are exiting, and then the guys across the street will become involved anyway.modric187 wrote:Yeah I wouldn't like to risk the same immigration guys seeing my passport again...then I think they would fuck me if they remembered my name and I had to sign some paper saying sorry my papers fell out.
They've been tightening up on overstayers recently (they feature regularly in the papers), 2 months would be stretching it a little. You have a (sort of) good excuse if you are waiting for a new passport. I overstayed about 6 weeks waiting for a new passport in 2008 and it was just a case of having to stump up the daily rate. If you can just pay them straight out I don't think they are too bothered. Just don't blame them for it and tell them their fucking glue is shit or anything.I know I can apply for new passport in cambodia but it takes 8 weeks to come. could I just pay 2 months of overstay then wh3n new passport comes then could do a 6 months entension from old visa after overstay? or if you take the piss with overstay would they be funny about it

Overstaying two months costs about $400 right? He could buy half of Serendipity Beach for that.
