I was going to the gym at Cambodiana off and on from about 2010 to 2014. It's okay as far as a gym goes. Good view, and they offer monthly memberships. At least back then.

Friend of mine goes to Sun & Moon Hotel on Street 136. Almost brand new and includes pool, steam etc. Not sure about prices.

I like the place. 650 for annual membership or $15 for day pass.
Very clean, excellent equipment friendly staff. Good pool.
Price compared favourably with hotel gyms & I think beats them on experience.
I think, all things considered, it's one of the best gyms I've been to.

Riverside area? Right beside Wat Lanka. 10 minute walk from riverside.
Can't imagine a 10 minute walk is onerous for someone wanting to exercise.

Yeah, there are some of them, not so many though. There are also the selfie crew who move from machine to machine just taking photos. But it is a big place and they rarely get in your way. It is western managed, and they so try to offer a western standard of service.LexusSchmexus wrote:Is The Place still full wannabe fitness types who are actually just pompous Khmer bong thoms? I've heard of them wearing all the (barely used) lycra sports wear while staff follow closely behind with a towel in hand as the Okhna types just lazily hang out, phone on hand.
The staff don't follow people around in the gym (unless you pay for a trainer) I've heard that there is a black market of services in the ladies changing room. Apparently the staff will wash and dry hair and do all sorts for extra tips. This doesn't go on in the blokes changing room. I did ask but the wee fella refused.

Gosh Khmerhamster you must really stride it out to do that in 10 minutes.
Even so given it is really its 10 minutes there and 10 minutes back
That adds minimum 20 minutes to my day!!!!
and arrive back in the office with a sweat up.
Sun and Moon sounds fun and easier access.
Altho given its a flash pub presume the prices are flash as well

Yeah, but you can just ignore it and get on with crushing your goals.LexusSchmexus wrote:Is The Place still full wannabe fitness types who are actually just pompous Khmer bong thoms? Machines and equipment are in good condition and it's always clean.
