hey guys.
I need my Cambodian driver's licence translated due to transfer it to my country's one and I'm stucked at the very last section of licence.
How should I translate thoses car emojis?
Help me translating my driver's licence please
I'm a bit confused Jin - are you trying to translate the license yourself?? Most countries I know of which require a translation of a license requires an official translation, ie by a certified company. Otherwise, the pictures at the back of the Cambodian license are pretty self explanatory and won't need to be translated. It's just the words that need translation!
yeah that's how i know of this matter in general knowledge but employee at the embassy told me to translate them by myself and hand it to embassy so they will give a certification for the document which I translated.chubacca wrote:I'm a bit confused Jin - are you trying to translate the license yourself?? Told me nothing about those small car pictures so I'm asking wondering if anybody had experience of mine as well.
thx for reply
I didn't think this would work, but it did, albeit some years back. I got my A2 Cambodian license really just for insurance purposes so if I ever had an accident on my bike, I was covered. When I moved back to Australia, I got an official translation of the license - just the words, and took it to the road authority in the state I live, who then gave me a full bike license. I had never had an Aussie bike license before
Haha really? What state? I enquired about changing my licence in vic while I was back in oz for a bit in 2014, but was told Cambodian licences were not recognised, full stop.chubacca wrote:I didn't think this would work, but it did, albeit some years back. And the original version if you want someone to translate from the Khmer - page 55: http://www.skpcambodia.com/Laws%20&%20R ... cation.pdf
These don't include any of the changes that happened Jan 2016, like the abolishing of the A1 class licence etc - not sure if those actually passed into law, or if they're still just the Lord Commander's facebook laws.
Basically, it says D2 is for pikeys, truckies and airport bus drivers.
