visa extension for child

A lot of expats increasingly settle in Cambodia with families and kids, or acquire them while here. This forum is a place to ask questions and discuss all things family.

hello is there anyone knows about the changes of price in visa extension for children here in Cambodia? One travel Agency said that starting today Sept.01 2016, the price of visa extension (1 year) for child is the same price to an adult $288...anyone can give me a link from Ministry of Interior for any memo or announcement regarding this changes? Thank you very much

It's $25 per year, although it say's 'gratis' on the visa when you get it. Check with Cina Travel on Street 130

Children 12 years and older are, and always have been, subject to standard (adult) fees, afaik.

I confirm that it is no longer gratis, no prior announcement at all on this matter and I am in shock with four kids. An extra $1200/year on visas is pretty steep, when they don't let your kids attend the local schools. Can easily pay for visa in a country with decent 'FREE' education...

It was actually announced by the MoFAIC at the start of Aug, most agencies were aware of the changes, but nothing in the media.

At least they've got your kid's best interests at heart.

    Hi

I hit 51 soon, will this make the retirement extension much more likely, or is 50 just as good?

    thanks
