Clothes man! I see genuine high end brands sell on the streets all the time, I suspect they were stolen out of garment factories. High quality ADIDAS shorts go for $3-5, soccer jerseys long and short sleeves $4-5, Pumas, Nike and so on in term of clothing and footwears. You could sell them to teenagers 7 times the price back home.

If you are serious about this then investigate import/export duties. Someone mentioned this at the start.
If you want to do it informally then the amount you take home will have to be low to avoid detection and therefore not really worth it.
Of course you can take home cigs, booze, dvd's, meds, hooky clothes /shoes, Fake handbags, Mont Blanc pens, Gshock watches, Rolex, timex etc.
The real money is in trafficking people though...
But if you are taking stuff home regularly or doing high volume you are likely to get caught, stuff confiscated and fined.
Everyone who has been here for a while likely knows someone who has had this ingenious idea.

I dont think custom officers can have a case on you bringing clothes in your 25kg limit luggage. I havent done it but know a few who did, they got the idea from me. It literally flew off the shelves enough profit to provide them 2 yearly return tickets or more.

Why didn't you patent your original idea?phat kunthea wrote:I dont think custom officers can have a case on you bringing clothes in your 25kg limit luggage. It flew off the shelves? In a shop?
Hope they enjoyed it while it lasted before the fraud squad shut them down.

For all you that suggested narcotics, alcohol or tobacco. These are a given, however it would seem you cannot bring any quantities to the west legally to make it worthwhile. Basic personal exemptions for Alcohol and Tobacco, and for Drugs, you must have a prescription. I am not entertaining any kind of illegal or risky endeavor.
What would happen if you brought a suitcase full of sex toys to the KOW? If they stopped you at the airport, would you be charged? If you got in, could you readily sell? (I wouldn't want to do this personally, just wondering)

The problem with the world is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
