RIP LTO
Please post here when you have made a decision on what you are going to do. I was out yesterday and spoke to several of his friends, and we were all wondering whether we should try to arrange something in his memory or if it was already being done.
My first post on this thread was just one of shock and disbelief, but I'd like to echo what many others have said. Ken was a true gentleman. We were by no means close friends, but we would run into each other occasionally and almost always end up talking for an hour or two when we did. I had known him for a couple of years before learning that he was LTO, but was not surprised, as he was the same in person as on the board. He was one of the nicest and most intelligent people I have known anywhere. I hate that he is gone, and I'm still in shock over the random, senseless way he died.

I'm Ken's very close friend (and ex wife), and have been in nearly daily contact with him for days. Right now, we are working hard to take care of very difficult business on behalf of his family or children.
As you can probably guess, it's going to be a hard sunrise in P Penh for the children. Please refrain for a discussion of detail for a few days, out of respect for the family.
I will let the brothers know of your love for him, and for your concern. Thanks so much--

Some posters are very open about their real life identities, but he was not. I am opposed to "outing" such posters by linking their real names to their online personas when they die. It's sort of the equivalent of handing the poster's family a binder containing all of their 440 posts.
Perhaps in these situations the death of the person should be discussed without the unnecessary public revelation on Khmer440 of any usernames, sock puppets, and online pseudonyms the person ever used.

Condolences to Ken's family - not sure that we ever met, we did exchange a few PMs though.
Great, insightful poster, much missed already.
RIP LTO.

Hello friends,
This is LTO's daughter. I would like to inform you all that funeral arrangements are being made right now. It will most likely go: funeral at pagoda, drinks on CamboCruise's boat and then drinks at Adam Parker's bar. We'll inform you when we know the dates and locations but it'll be sometime after the 17th. Thank you for your lovely messages about my father.

Thanks for the update Kena, please let us know when dates/details are confirmed, there are many people here who would like to say goodbye to your father.
I will also check in with Adam and see if we can contribute a few kegs of beer towards the drinks at his bar.

CD had published a couple of very respectful stories about LTO's death. This appeared yesterday and another one about his body being found appeared this morning.

It is at this point being taken care of, and thank you. I will post more specifics in a few days.

His daughter posted arrangements, so I will assume everyone knows them. Thanks, community, for your strong support of his family.
