Why would you want to keep a wild animal that belongs into the forest?marukai wrote:Can people in Cambodia have these for pets? Malayan Viper, Tree Viper. Can Tuk Tuk driver go find for me?

Unlikely any Khmer would bring you a live one.
Why do you want repatriation by your embassy on the one hand- and to collect some of the most venomous reptiles on earth on the other?
Business venture or elaborate suicide attempt?

Maybe he is planning on leaving a parting gift in the rubbish for Rummaging Landlord. Nothing like getting tagged by a pit viper to admonish a nosey parker.Taa Moan wrote:Unlikely any Khmer would bring you a live one.

So you were stranded in Phnom Penh with no money, now you are asking about keeping a pit viper. Go home.

You found someone that will front you a ticket providing you will pay him back in vipers?

Poor choice of snake for the Cleopatra routine. Look for one with a neurotoxic venom. A monocled or king cobra would do nicely.kinard wrote:Interesting angle: Suicide by venom.
And yes, please make arrangements to have the snake returned to its natural habitat when you're done!
