I've really only gone looking for Khmer places a couple of times (too caught up in French, Italian, Chinese and veddy trendy coffee shops - can't get 'em in Thailand) but did find a great place on St. 63 just south of St. 158. Nice people and there is no pressure to order the ox penis with red ants or spicy sauce.
Tonight we're off to St. 108 near the river where there's a strip of Khmer BBQ places that looked like fun. You guys know all this but I'm just a lowly tourist. At the end of the trip we'll hang out in BKK1 and around Russian market: Sovana BBQ, Java cafe, Luigi's, Pizza House, Il Forno and a couple of Malaysian/Indo places (ever tried Thai pizza? don't have to bring your own condiments - they supply the ketchup).
Cheers, and thanks.
