I'd take vlad at his word. The man is a tefl-jobbing factotum, incarnate.LexusSchmexus wrote:Within two weeks Vlad?
Be it due to sackings or feebly attempting greener pastures, he has darkened the threshold of more English language factory schools in Cambodia than you have fingers and toes.
As a somber addendum, I must note that vlad's recent resurgence has been deeply affecting my thoughts on life, fate and the unflinchingly capricious nature of it all.
To have had LTO's venerable and venerated contributions and insight ripped from our presence so callously, yet vlad persists... it's enough to drive one to sullenly ponder the desolately random meaning of it all, whilst wistfully draining an Old Fashioned.
Though in fairness, I guess it could be said that risk is inherent when one lives a full and experiential life, whilst in contrast, the other safely shuffles from plastic teacher's-room chair, to living room BarcaLounger, all the while camped-out on 440, safely ensconced in a perennial lack of self-awareness, a fetid womb of daft actuality.

Cool story bro! Do you by any chance write novels?? Your grasp of the English language is exquisite!DanCooper wrote:I'd take vlad at his word. The man is a tefl-jobbing factotum, incarnate.LexusSchmexus wrote:Within two weeks Vlad?

Yup. Let's see. Hey, one could easily visit 4-6 schools a day. This guy has decent qualifications, and is a NS. If ACE have vacancies, he may get lucky in an even shorter time-frame.. If he's picky, maybe not, but my advice would be take the first thing that comes up and walk when/if you get a better offer.LexusSchmexus wrote:Within two weeks Vlad? Are schools that desperate, or do they not have term breaks or whatever?

Actually, it's not exquisite at all. Mish-mash of US Engrish and UK English...for example...'somber'.Scarlett Pimpernel wrote:Cool story bro! Do you by any chance write novels?? Read the sentence of his I quoted above. Do you notice any missing punctuation?

Why do you make posts like this deliberately trying to stir things up rather than help the OP ?

It wasn't long ago that $5,000 was the suggested amount. Inflation.gavinmac wrote:A very, very small percentage of people who are planning to move to Cambodia to teach English have $12,000.chkwoot wrote:.

Indeed. Among this site's most odious wankers who have been around since forever and who are in desperate need of a free serving of Pentobarbital, only one comes to mind that is even more obnoxious than vladimir: the unforgettable andyinasia! You wouldn't know what he's up to nowadays, would you?DanCooper wrote: To have had LTO's venerable and venerated contributions and insight ripped from our presence so callously, yet vlad persists...

Vladimir , besides ACE , do those other schools you listed really hire just Celta holders ? I thought logos, Cuba etc only hired those with actual teaching degrees ?
ACE pays 20 something an hour . But besides that I think pickings are slim in cambodia for celta holders. Unless you love Cambodia , why not go to Vietnam . They require the celta at most places and pay 20 plus per hour . It also seems like tutoring kids on the side in vietnam is a lot more common than Cambodia .

Anyone who doesn't like Capitalism is a pathetic loser. God bless the USA and no place else.
