Hainan chicken rice is my favourite no matter where I am. I was super lucky in Manila when I worked there as the park opposite BDO Tower had a restaurant devoted to it. From memory it was about $5. The best Hainanese chicken rice in own though IMHO is Fuming Hainan Chicken Rice on st 63 just sth cnr 398 Hainanese chicken rice both steam and roasted, are only dishes they do but they do it well. $3 plate $12:50 half chicken

Normally when I go there I see budget travellers and old expats of all nationalities.
