Best Site fof Booking Airline Tickets
Best Site fof Booking Airline Tickets
Im in the process of booking an international ticket Auckland--Bangkok--Laos
I always book with Expedia as im a creature of habit.
Is there much of a price difference between online sites?
What site do you book tickets with?

I usually check prices and availability on Skyscanner and Expedia, but always check the airlines websites also, quite often it works out cheaper booking directly with the airline.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

find the cheapest flight or one u like than go look at the airlines own website, if its the same price BOOK direct as if you have trouble they can deal with it.
Rather than fly to laos from Bangkok fly to Udon (air asia or...) and than take the international bus across ( only an hour or little more)

Google Flights is the best. I always check Google Flights against skyscanner and kayak.
Anyone who doesn't like Capitalism is a pathetic loser. God bless the USA and no place else.
The AKL-BKK return flying Emirates is .71 cents cheaper on Emirates site than Expedia, $948.71 against $948.00
Skyscanner is $900.00 . Thanks you PSD_Kiwi, you saved me 48 bucks Thank you Phuket 2017 for the heads up flying to Udon, that's probably a $50.00 saving
I'll now check out Google Flights Cheers DetriotMuscle.

I went the Udon flight route back to Bgk once to find myself stranded by floods when Vientiane airport was still open.
Trains were out too and so was the bus station. I hitched a ride after several hours spent on a sand bags man made island. Arrived in bangkok more than 24h after leaving Laos. Worst 50 bucks saving experience ever.

One has to expect the unexpected . I pray what you experienced I don't experience. Shit happens. Im cool with that.
It's all part of journey.

I've been going directly through the airline and it's worked out to simpler and provided me with more up front options than going through a middle man service. If problems arise, it's a quick phone call to resolve also. I have heard people have had success with skyscanner and I will check it out on my next trip. For rooms, I always use agoda.

Skyscanner is useful and is always my first stop but it's an aggregator, not a retailer. They'll search around various sites to find and offer you the cheapest price, then direct you to the site you choose. Be aware that some of those sites are pretty dubious: I recently found a trip to Europe on Skyscanner that was hundreds of Euros cheaper than the next competitor, but when I did a search online for that particular referral, which was to mytrip.com, all I could find were horror stories.CambodianDevil wrote:I've been going directly through the airline and it's worked out to simpler and provided me with more up front options than going through a middle man service. I'd echo the comments above that sites like Skyscanner are useful for getting the lay of the land, but if you can book directly with the airline then you're potentially saving yourself an awesome amount of grief in the event that things don't go quite to plan.
Skyscanner by the way gives the airline's price as an option too. Usually an extra 50 or 100 bucks well spent IMHO.
I usually use momondo.com to get a general feel for the price level; and then check out a few airlines own homepage to see if they can do it cheaper - which I find they often can. For Europe to Asia, I mainly check Norwegian and Turkish Airlines.
i check expedia, then i check the airline itself, then i go to my local travel agent who lives close by and sees if he can get me a better deal (usually he can).

Use various sites but always end up purchasing the best offer on skyscanner.
Also, I recommend trying to utilize an older and/or your least expensive device.
I get different quoted prices from my phone, laptop and tablet for the same flight.
It may only save you a couple of bucks
but you can always use the savings
to get a girl from the Wat roundabout.
