I've just been duped by someone who abused my trust and loyalty. I lost a bit of money. I gave them a second chance to be a better person, but they had a different agenda.
I learned two things:
-My kindness is not a weakness. Sometimes you should take a gamble and risk emotional/financial upset.
-They tick 5 out of the 7 behavioural patterns for diagnosing sociopathic disorders. The minimum requirement is only 3.
I gave someone a chance, so perhaps in some roundabout way someone will give me a hand up sometime.
Happy New Year! Stay happy!

The roundabout, it'll come to bite you on the ass or give you a win, never give up the positive. Happy New Year.

I have stayed in various hostels and various other types of rented accommodation in UK and I found most of them are generally well run, professional, well maintained and generally are comfortable unlike mostly horrible, uncomfortble hostels in Asia which I had the misfortune to stay in. The people in Asia are generally rude and disgusting even if they were not openly hostile. Hostels in Asia tend to be extremely awful, disgusting and uninhabitable. And hostels in Asia tend to cramp so many people in a room. It is about time immoral and rich Asia stop mistreating and ripping off poor travelers with low quality accommodation.Mèo Đen wrote:The grotty exterior of the Grosvenor Hotel, Albert Road, Blackpool, which has been rated the worst in Europe. Is unfair on us poor travelers that often have to put with their inhumane, substandard, cramped, uncomfortable accommodation just to experience a bit of their harsh aSia.
Why do people even bothered to waste thousands of dollars just to holiday in such exploitative, greedy inhumane, pretentious Asia?
I am not racist or anyting. I am just stating a fact. We should not be forced to accept the low quality life that those rich, racist Asians tend to inflict on us.

I am not whining. I was just trying to defend myself.violet wrote:fuck off wendy. no one wants to hear your whining.
I am tired of talking to a wall too.
You will be whining too if you are being forced to live in their Asiatic filthy cesspits.
Should those lazy, filthy Asians be allowed to run hostels when they expect guests to put up with their filthy horrible rooms?

Why were you and your husband staying in hostels in Cambodia when there are private guesthouse rooms that cost $3-$5?

Who's forcing you to be here?wendyaspinall wrote: You will be whining too if you are being forced to live in their Asiatic filthy cesspits.
And please clarify. I assume you're talking about Cambodians, because a lot of Asians like myself despise Western accommodations and customer service because of how poor it is compared to our home countries.wendyaspinall wrote: Should those lazy, filthy Asians be allowed to run hostels when they expect guests to put up with their filthy horrible rooms?
Also keep in mind your attitude makes a huge difference. I've never met you before, but I have the sneaking suspicion if you were to walk in to my business and act they way you are posting, I'd be rude to you at best.

Who the hell stays in hostels? Especially in the UK? They are full of junkies and transients and alcoholics. And the ones here ain't much better. When you're on skid row it's easy to blame everyone else for the fact that you can't afford a decent room. You won't get much sympathy here for your pathetic homeless holiday escapades.wendyaspinall wrote:I have stayed in various hostels and various other types of rented accommodation in UK and I found most of them are generally well run, professional, well maintained and generally are comfortable unlike mostly horrible, uncomfortble hostels in Asia which I had the misfortune to stay in. I really never seen anything like it, after spending over 6 years here I really get to know what is going on. I wonder why nothing is being written about it. These people see theirselves as superior and can't stand anything if you would have something to say over them.
I spoke with a doctor from Swiss the other day and he said that he suspect they have some kind of psychological deficiency. Nobody wants or dares to speak or write about it.
I see also that most foreigners really don't see the way they behave, they are wearing pink sunglasses or something.
Asia and Asians in general are mostly like that - exploitative, inhumane, greedy, lazy and mean.
They are so obsessed with accumulating money and profiting from us foreigners who often are being forced to cope with their horrible, filthy and rude Asiatic environment just to feed their Asiatic greed.
Many of them are even shamelessly providing shabby and horrible accommodation and mistreating disadvantaged foreigners.
They should not be allowed to use US dollars as their main currency.
Wendy, may I politely suggest that you are not defending Yourself, wendyaspinall wrote: I am not whining. I was just trying to defend myself.
but defending a paradigm you presently hold
based on an emotional response
to unmet expectations that may very well be valid.
I too have had my share of negative escapades in Cambodia,
but I loved them too.
I was taught that it’s a hard-wired human instinct
to ensconce into generalizations about groups,
especially races,
but it’s a rather base form of emotional/mental perspective that yearns for growth/reassessment IMHO.
I just did a tour of Eastern Europe, but my experiences were, for the majority, fantastic.
I had my share of run-ins with gopniks and drunks but I still treasure my trip.
However, I traveled with no expectations and found that people respond to me in the way manner in which I interact with them.
Would it be rude of me to suggest that you First,
try to understand the country you visit, rather than be understood?
Though I found in many places: the tap water undrinkable;
manner of service esoteric; charged higher prices than the locals;
and a myriad of similar “difficulties” you seem to be venting about...
I loved my trip to Eastern Europe.
More so than staying in five star hotels, I had a better experience from the hospitality
of being invited to sleep on the floor with newly made friends in
old Soviet style apartments which were literally falling apart;
but to each his/her own.
BTW, I’m one of those filthy Asians,
but I don’t confuse YOU with your present outlook of Asia and Asians.
I hope you travel more and realize
that everywhere you go,
you shall find the full spectrum of human beings from saints to demons.
I hope you vent and get it out of your system and reassess your point of view
but if NOT…
My avatar was a photo taken of me two weeks ago at Otres beach…I’m easy to spot.
So if you and your boyfriend/husband still feel that we are all filthy, horrible Asians,
I invite him to take a run at me when/if he sees me. No talk, just do it.
It’s what I live/die for.
But if you’re a troll…bravo…bitch.
Thank you for saying what I didn't have the patience to write myself.
