$99 for one month = $3.30 per day for unlimited use of the clean, spacious, air-conditioned, centrally located facility, including olympic sized pool, saunas, modern exercise equipment, etc. with no commitment beyond that one month. That's an exceptional deal.
I doubt that any $35 per monthly rate places are as well equipped with pools and air con and all the modern equipment.

Don't forget the wifi and free coffee machine. It's practically a steal.gavinmac wrote:Lucky Seven wrote:It certainly is, I pay $35 a month for a gym just as well equipped.Sejuiced wrote:And still ridiculously expensive

Only problem for you folks in PP , the one I'm talking about is in Melbourne ..... sorry about that .
Anyway I was really trying to emphasize that The Place is way too expensive . No competition allows them to charge what they like . No one's game enough to go up against them . Cambodia and Himawari are just average. I own a better set up than those places and if I was still keen enough it would be in a container on the way to BKK1 which was my plan last year .

No point saying if you were still keen enough, as you clearly aren'tLucky Seven wrote:No pool but air conditioning yes , all the best Life Fitness , Hammer Strength machines , free weights etc .gavinmac wrote:Lucky Seven wrote:It certainly is, I pay $35 a month for a gym just as well equipped.Sejuiced wrote:And still ridiculously expensive

The Place TK has those fancy bogs that clean your ass for you. For that reason alone it's a bargain at twice the price.violet wrote:It is the place toul kork that has the promotion...not bkk1- save people a trip

Oh sorry. I didn't notice that. I thought membership in one got you access to the other but maybe not any longer or maybe not if you only sign up for a month.violet wrote:It is the place toul kork that has the promotion...not bkk1- save people a trip

maybe it can be used at both but they are just trying to encourage membership at TK. TK members get a discount and can use BKK1 (maybe, i'm guessing about being able to use BKK1)

No, pretty sure they can't. The two places are run as separate entities almost in competition.gavinmac wrote:Oh sorry. I didn't notice that. I think previously they could use either but then that was restricted to premium members - now not sure if it is still an option.
$625 for 6 months!
It's just a big room with some monkey bars!
If it had weights, running and cross trainers, pool, sauna then maybe but not $$$$$$$!
SHV is much cheaper in comparison.

Yeah, i believe 2 Shitysville gyms near the beach are 1 or 2 dollars per day, all day. It's no wonder we are all so buff down here on the coast.YaTingPom wrote: SHV is much cheaper in comparison.
