Did anyone else manage to see that massive furore on Facebook prior to its deletion? Scintillating stuff.Petrol Head wrote:Hahaha -gavinmac wrote:Ned has posted today on the Cambodia Scammers page that his sources tell him that Whitlow is locked up in immigration jail pending deportation.
Could Ned be the first expat to ever actually follow through with a "My contacts will get your visa revoked and you'll be deported!" threat?
Actually, I don't think Ned even threatened it. He just did it. If it's true.
Ned says James Whitlow scammed $1500 from him; JW claimed police contacts could "sort out" Ned's dispute w/ landlord

Whitlow is now scamming local restaurants.
He has been calling restaurants asking for food deliveries and claiming that he'll pay them tomorrow, and then he never pays. This is from the Phnom Penh & Expat Forum on Facebook.

^^^ He was trying to scam Jay, and used as his MO that he was an employee of khmer440.com. Of course, everyone knows that to be an employee here you have to pass the most rigorous physical and mental examinations, dance a perfect apsara routine, and spit python venom. Thus, Jay called him out, and this guy scurried away.
But, I think he’s still festering around town, so it would be good if anyone could post where he’s staying, if they know.

Hahahaha I seen this a few minutes after it was posted on Facebook. My immediate thoughts were GavinMac is probably already on the case. It was mentioned that the hotel staff were aware that they've been doing the "ATM ate my card scam" for quite a while and yet they didn't think that they would get scammed themselves? Smart... What kind of guesthouse willingly allows their customers to scam people over and over? Why haven't they called the police yet? It's a bit weird.

He might have been waiting around the corner until they rang to say that they were there and then just popped round and took the pizza back to his dingy lair with his conned goodies.

Meth - It used to be called "methamphetamine", but they had to renamed it so it's easier to say when you have no front teeth.
