I really hate the big crowds sometimes. Sometimes i just want to chill out with beer, a nice girl, and not hear the loud sounds of other tourists. I heard to look at st.104 . Is there a street where not too many tourists go but has somewhat of decent hostess bars?
Hostess bars mostly cater to foreigners. There are a bunch of beer garden/ktv places on st 2004 near the airport you could check out, but English might not happen there.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

Are all these hostess bars? Is Larry's a hostess bar? I really don't know. I don't get out much anymore. Is there a "new" hybrid-hostess bar paradigm?offshoresports wrote:Elephant Bar, Est Bar, Le Bar (behind the bar), Le Boutier, and Bar Sito to name a few.
I am sooooo very sorry if you can't understand or appreciate my sarcastic facetiousness.

I think Chaplains, Larrys and Shanghai all fit that model.chkwoot wrote:Are all these hostess bars? Is Larry's a hostess bar? I really don't know. I don't get out much anymore. Bar sito is shut I cant Imagine the Elephant Bar allowing OP and his Short Time in for the evening.
Chez Rina's (another hybrid) is always dead until about 10pm so OP could try there. Otherwise GSM is opening soon, I'm sure that will be quiet
Just make sure the PBH show is not in Larry's when you go there or it is anything but lo key.

There’s always a big turnover with girls in bars. Usually if the bar is slow, they move on after a month or 2. Those bars don’t have many girls, so it’s unusual to find a real belle.

Many of the Street 130 bars are more geared towards expats rather than tourists, especially on the North side of the street. Music levels are lower, girls won’t hassle you for drinks, and a more chilled atmosphere generally. Plus clean toilets.casper129q wrote:I really hate the big crowds sometimes. Yes I have a vested interest in some of these bars but hopefully others will confirm that what I’m saying is basically true, especially if you avoid the peak time of 10.30pm-12.30am
The other bars mentioned also fit the bill, as does Mings bar in street 174, and the Filling Station way down in street 282.

If going to the filling station make sure your wallet is full as the eye watering prices will soon empty it, all for the pleasure of sitting in what is essentially a filipino karaoke bar
