Yes, but aren’t you a TEFLer, so you know...violet wrote:I like Lucky supermarket. And I have a few hidden airs and graces.Garry Crabtree wrote:Lucky's. The TEFLers supermarket.
Just saw the AEON Max value for the first time. Isn’t there also an “organic” one with a few shops, or are those really small?
I’m always surprised how much they can pack into a small Super Duper.
Looks like more will be coming with more malls under construction as well.

It would be nice if Super Duper on Sothearos could put prices on the shelves under at least 75% of their items.Wayward Woods wrote: I’m always surprised how much they can pack into a small Super Duper.

Here's another thing I've noticed. Ever since they started charging for plastic bags, the clerk will ask me "Do you want a bag" and I'll say "yes" and then they will try to cram $50 worth of groceries into a single bag that's bound to rip the moment I pick it up. And when I tell them to use more bags they seem shocked.

Most of the places that I shop at do not charge for plastic bags - couple of times per month I will stock up on a few things at Super Duper, where I have exactly the same plastic bag cramming nonsense as above.
I am going to check out the new Circle-K MiniMart on NH1 later, will be interesting to see what their policy/training is regarding this exciting, and controversial issue.

Yeah, though don't blame the supermarkets for that. That's due to the environmental fundamentalists, who live for themselves a bad for the environment life, by having superfluous kids as well as consuming products grown in a very environmental inefficient way.gavinmac wrote:Here's another thing I've noticed. I blame the supermarkets for not training their staff to give/offer multiple bags instead of assuming that customers will want the bags overstuffed to save 100 riel.

It’s just as bad if you bring your own bag. At Lucky’s my items are quickly taken from the basket, scanned, then thrown at me by the low paid, uninterested check out girl. And she’s expecting me to expertly pack it all myself in record time.gavinmac wrote:Here's another thing I've noticed. It’s like buying a car, and for the salesman to start the car and push it down a hill. “There’s your new car go, catch it you fucker”.
My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.

Why at Super Duper and Panda Mart do the cashiers scan a little bar code for "foreigner" or "Khmer" identifying the customer for every purchase? I mean, in the USA, they don't record "black" " white" "Hispanic" etc. when you buy something.
