It is amazing the amount of jobs, skilled and unskilled, that are still available with all the talk of automation. All anyone has to do is look in any paper or go on the internet and if internet is not in your home any library provides it free of cost. Excuses are like assholes, everybody has one. If all else fails there is plenty of wilderness with untapped resources for anyone willing to work a little bit...

Yeah, you can always start up your own megafarm somewhere in the boonies, you're right, just claim the land and get a few John Deers with satellite engineering, spray it good with Monsanto to keep it proper looking, I guess it's the way if you have no choice. Or open an automated slaughterhouse perhaps, or gelatine production, I hear that's all the rage, as almost anything organic, road kill, euthanized dogs and cats from shelters,, it all can be brolied down to this popular useful remedy.
Gonna go get some gummy bears now, the kids just love e'm. Cheers!

I'm curious (not being snarky, genuinely curious), what is your view on why America's unemployment rate is so high (according to campaigning Trump)? Something like 15-20% real unemployment (if you count the "out of the workforce" population), although the official figure is 4% or something like it.Johnsell50 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 3:50 pmIt is amazing the amount of jobs, skilled and unskilled, that are still available with all the talk of automation. This also shows how deep into the USA the big food companies have their claws - still pushing outdated "science" that eating fat and sodium makes you fat rather than the massive amounts of sugar in just about every American food stuff. Not to mention the desecration of farmland minerals meaning that your whole grains, fruit & vegetables there now lack just about any nutrients whatsoever, leading to the body being hungry for more food all the time - but its OK, those GM crops still push out "x calories" & "x protein/carbs/fat", so they're still "food". Flavoured milk should be full fat, sugar free.logos wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2019 3:00 pmThe Obama-era rules, completed in 2012, kick-started the administration’s campaign to fight childhood obesity, starting with students’ lunch trays. The rules required schools participating in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs to reduce the amount of sodium, serve foods rich in whole grains, increase the amount of fruits and vegetables, and limit saturated and trans fats. They also required that flavored milk be fat free.
If you're a non-believer on the poor state of American farming, please go grab one of those big punnets of USA "Strawberries" from Lucky, and then compare them to even one of those tiny frozen strawberries you can get in Thai Huot; it's basically water versus a proper damn strawberry. The same applies to items like Quaker Oats, try those and then make some porridge or whatever with some organic oats from Macedonia, the flavour difference is incredible. Uncle Sam may as well be selling cardboard to eat.
The problem on health care isn't Trump or Obama in the US case, it is big pharma/food and ridiculous research papers funded by sugar companies & others to point the finger at fat or salt.

Back on topic, I'm a vigorous attacker of the UK's NHS system - not in principle of free healthcare to those who desperately need it, but how it is run. Again as it is the left-wing's golden baby, they'll spout on about how the whole UK is built around the NHS and everyone will die without it; heck even an NHS bus poster was one of the main points during the Brexit debat - WTF was that all about, and did anyone really believe it ... oh yes they did... I don't subscribe to that point of view. But I do agree with Johnsell50 (FFS! : D) - Free healthcare doesn't pay for itself, and is so easily abused by lazy assholes who have never contributed a damn penny, who have absolutely nothing wrong with them. No trouble with doctors and their "Hippocratic Oath" either, they should try to treat everybody, but when you've got people whole-scale flocking to the UK to take advantage of the free healthcare, that can't be allowed to continue. Slap that together with abysmal mismanagement by people who haven't a clue how a hospital works, tiers of that about genuine healthcare professionals, it's all destined for disaster - and who picks up the bill? The taxpayer. Sadly the UK government, if it can even be called that, has been incapable of saying "enough is enough" for decades (again, not a Tory created problem, or even a Labour created problem - both were in government long enough to resolve many of the NHS issues but NEITHER did anything but watch it burn. It's like the US gun control issue - neither democrats or republicans will ever take it seriously, nobody wants to put their name on it.

Aug 7, 2018 Dr. Martin Pall To The NIH: “The 5G Rollout Is Absolutely Insane.”
During the “Health in Buildings Roundtable” sponsored by the NIH & co-organized by the US CDC and several other organizations, Dr. Martin Pall from the Washington State University (WSU) concluded that the “5G rollout is absolutely insane”.
Lowered Fertility
Cellular DNA Damage
Neurological/Neuropsychiatric Effects
Apoptosis, programmed cell death
Oxidative Stress
Endocrine (Hormonal) effects
Insomnia
Cancer
+ 4 more with less overwhelming evidence as above.
Cardiac Effects
Early onset Alzheimer and other dementia
Possibly ADHD and Autism from exposure to EMF late pre-natal and early post-natal.
Here's a link to the paper he talked about at the beginning of his presentation.

One of the best books I've ever read, "fast food nation", was describing the situation in meticulously researched detail. An impressive and entertaining read that made me aware of the crap forced daily onto unsuspecting consumers.

Taking a closer look at the current situation in Finland, from BBC. " What is Finland's healthcare problem?
Like many developed nations, Finland has an ageing population that is putting financial pressure on its social welfare systems.
As an increasing number of people live longer in retirement, the cost of providing pension and healthcare benefits can rise. Those increased costs are paid for by taxes collected from of the working-age population – who make up a smaller percentage of the population than in decades past.
In 2018, those aged 65 or over made up 21.4% of Finland's population, the joint fourth highest in Europe alongside Germany — with only Portugal, Greece, and Italy having a higher proportion, according to Eurostat.
Finland's welfare system is also generous in its provisions, making it relatively expensive. Attempts at reform have plagued Finnish governments for years.
Finland basic income 'did not help jobless'
Finland country profile
Mr Sipila's proposed solutions included creating regional authorities for health and welfare services, rather than the local municipalities that currently manage the system, and offering including private companies in the healthcare system to a greater extent to offer "freedom of choice".
Mr Sipila's government also famously experimented with a guaranteed minimum income scheme – giving €560 (£480) a month to 2,000 unemployed people as a basic income with no conditions attached.
Initial results suggested the pilot scheme left people happier, but still unemployed.
Mr Sipila's Centre Party has been in a centre-right coalition government since 2015. Since a 2017 re-negotiation, the government has been formed of the Centre Party, the National Coalition, and Blue Reform." https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-47496326

Real=U6 rate is still falling now = 7.3% not 15-20%, still better than it has been in decades.SlowJoe wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 4:07 pmI'm curious (not being snarky, genuinely curious), what is your view on why America's unemployment rate is so high (according to campaigning Trump)? For Sprigzy,
Yes, Americans should eat healthier but have you ever noticed that when you try to shove programs/new ideas on anyone they tend to resist harder. You cannot force people to do anything without creating a police state, which I believe is the eventual goal of the left today. Smoking, impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving and drug use are still killing thousands. Try forcing them to stop. It doesn't work. Yes, most food today is shit. And sugar is poison in the amounts most Americans eat it, but getting them to stop is like trying to convince most Asians that white rice is as good for you as eating cardboard.

Facts are often skewed by politics, and when the left controls most of the media, most of the facts are going to be skewed to the left. So there are definitely left wing talking points and you use many of them. And again, 1 year +- is not a big deal. And how are they planning to fix their healthcare without killing off some seniors, are lowering benefits, or taking more money from an already tax challenged population?Sonic1 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 7:02 pmFacts are not left or right. PS, this program has failed miserably, and has been stopped, as mentioned in an earlier post.

It is a fact Sonny Perdue rolled back Obama improvements to children's school lunches. That's how much Trump hates Obama. Where's the Republican plan for healthcare?Johnsell50 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2019 8:27 pmFacts are often skewed by politics, and when the left controls most of the media, most of the facts are going to be skewed to the left.
