No one said they didn't have good health care, simply that their economy can't continue to support it. It's like buying a Rolls Royce with a Volkswagen budget. Sooner or later you either have to have a big change in income or give it up.Sonic1 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 10:35 pmThey do, don't they. I don't know if Nikki Haley could find it on a map. Seem quite a content lot in socialist Scandanavia.
http://www.helsinkitimes.fi/world-int/w ... press.html Nikki Haley, former United States ambassador to the United Nations, is currently getting a beautiful lesson in social democracy and the quality of life in Finland. In response to Haley’s claim that healthcare in the United States is far superior to healthcare in Finland, people in Finland—who have internet access as well as very good health care—are helpfully telling her about what it’s actually like when your ability to pay has nothing to do with getting good medical care.
For reasons that I cannot fully understand, Haley left a scathing reply to a two-week-old Bernie Sanders tweet that lauded the low cost of childbirth in Finland as compared to the United States.
“Alright @BernieSanders, you’re not the woman having the baby so I wouldn’t be out there talking about skimping on a woman when it comes to childbirth,” Haley wrote. “Trust me! Nice try though.”
She followed up with: “Health care costs are too high that is true but comparing us to Finland is ridiculous. Ask them how their health care is. You won’t like the answer.”
It’s unclear what Haley expected in response, but it was maybe not a swarm of Finnish people entering her mentions to inform her that, actually, Finland’s healthcare is ranked one of the best on the planet.
About that Finnish maternity care…

JS50 - I don't get it? I'm not stalking/trolling you at all, as many of the things you say, I don't know much about. To that end, I like to fact check, and do some research and so I have tried to provide facts and statistics througout to put another perspective to your point of view (I have also been careful to source these from non biased sources as much as possible, hell, even used the stats from he US Government departments).
You haven't addressed at all my comment that the system works well in Australia, and it hasn't broken the bank there (ps - many Americans don't know where Australia is according to youtube, some think it must be in Florida..... ). In other posts on other threads, I have provided statistics, and all you have done is ignore those and say that you believe what you believe, providing no factual rebuttal.
Can you see why when you come on here to spout this stuff, that you will cop flak? Many here are more than willing to debate different points of view with factual and reasonable arguments. Look back at some of the threads from the old days that focused on issues such as Cambodian politics, the middle east etc - and you will see that many of the posters offered incredible insight, provided debates that could make a person sitting on the fence think twice as to what he has been told to believe.
Yet - for the most part, your arguments actually make a person jump to the other side immediately as all we have been given is "I like Trump coz he's going to make Merica great again" - yet provide no proof in the pudding. Attacking the argument with, oh you are just a leftie regurgitating CNBC memo, is no different to anyone just saying that you are a right wing redneck regurgitating a FOX news memo. If you can't see that, then I question your claim to be of superior intelligence.

Umm you really don't understand gambling do you? Simply put, you have chosen the least attractive price for your wager. Have you bought a ticket yet?Johnsell50 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 5:28 amIf I can find a guaranteed safe bookie I'll take a couple grand US of that action the day I get there. Whatever the best odds are when I get there, I will be happy to wager the amount advertised. Will you and the others cover it?
PS My Pinoy ex would love for me to come back and stay married to her. I refuse because that would be in her best interest and after the financial screwing she tried that will never happen. I helped her family out some after we were together for a little while, out of the kindness of my heart, but that was all they will ever see.

Under-750 Over +700 Should have probably bumped the price more. Threatening to gamble is akin to threatening to tip.

Very hard to discuss covering a wager when you remain mum on an arrival date. Will you be able to firm up a date for your gambling public? Do any of your abandoned Pinoy family still call you on the first of the month when your SSI check comes in?Johnsell50 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 8:16 amWhatever the best odds are when I get there, I will be happy to wager the amount advertised. If you will go back through you will see that I did answer. If you are happy with your system I am happy for you. As far as the health care costs in the US, a lot of it comes from protecting new medicines and treatments which other countries copy, many of them without paying royalties to the patent owners thereby making it much cheaper in their respective countries. Another reason is that many hospitals are pushing either very short in hospital recoveries or outpatient surgeries, which in Medicare patients and some insured patients raises the cost greatly to patients themselves. This is compounded by higher costs being charged to insurance companies to off set the losses from non-paying patients, of which there are way too many. Illegal immigrants and people working either entirely, or partially, off the books have, and still; are bankrupting many hospital and health care providers around the country.chubacca wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 6:27 amJS50 - I don't get it? Just your remarks here make it very easy to classify you in the stalker/troll category. If you look at past posts, I will arrive in early OCT. this year. I do not collect SSI, but Social Security, which I paid into for many years and is not a benefit but a right. But you are welcome to take over my ex Pinoy family if she will take you. Probably not unless you have lots of money to give them. She is still young and very hot.Sonic1 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 8:48 amVery hard to discuss covering a wager when you remain mum on an arrival date. -750 means betting 750 to win 100. Conversly +750 means a bet of 100 will win 750. Winning bets have their wagers returned with thier winnings. Current odds are for him lasting 6 months. 2 years is hurting my noggin to even ponder. This could be a job for sticky glue.

Apologies, you did say October, First week you say. How firm is this? Have you bought your ticket yet? What would it take to get you in a maga-hat selfie at the Candy Bar?
