I lived there for 7 years. There are many great hash groups which occupied most of my time. You can get beer very easily from the "milk man"....it is a very quiet place but once you had a good group of friends it was fine.
The locals are very friendly and generally accepting. The stuff you hear about on the news is rarely discussed...not so much due to fear but more a social acceptance thing....I had colleagues who were very much gay but nobody would refer to them as such. The Sultan has total authority and has gradually gotten more into Islam...there is some hope that when his son takes power Brunei will become more liberal again.

Thanks for the input! After seven years, would be great if you’d be willing to share some pics.zehner wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2019 9:19 pmI lived there for 7 years. Some of those pictures are a bit more risqué than I was expecting! Thanks.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
