Massive stalker
He was actually very popular and not a bad guy for a career politician
I guess you meant "he kicked off the bucket", the closest equivalent would be "il a passé l'arme à gauche".

Indeed, agree 100%
I guess for some, anyone who takes an interest in the plight of the masses must be a socialist or commie (not that they understand the difference, but facts were never a strong point for conservatives)
The irony is that they are mostly commoners themselves.
Much insecurity.

Ginger Baker's passing a week ago eluded my radar somehow. RIP

A great thinker, whose reputation will always be sullied by him being caught writing (quite literally) puff pieces on smoking, while being secretly paid thousands of pounds a month by Japan Tobacco a decade or so ago.
One that Brits of a certain age will remember. Nicholas Parsons died today - genial host of Radio 4 long running quiz show Just a Minute, and the host of 1970s cult classic, The Sale of the Century. Parsons hosted every single weekly Just a Minute from its inception in 1967 until his death, bar two that he missed a couple of years back when he was ill, aged 94.

I know of him but don’t remember watching or listening to his stuff. Actually was Just a Minute on radio (I’ll Bing it later) then I did.Dallow Spicer wrote:One that Brits of a certain age will remember. He was a very likable fellow (on the TV type of way). Reminds me of Schofield.
RIP. Good innings.
Ok Bingged it. Yes I did listen to him and I fondly remember Clement Freud’s very dry droll humour.
Now he’s dead I hope that insufferable Giles Brandreth isn’t taking over. Eughhh.
