English Teacher Jumps Off Chroy Changvar Bridge in Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh – An Englishman launched himself off the Chroy Changkvar Bridge after biking his way there, but his suicide bid was foiled when he was picked up by a boat belonging to Cham fishermen. The incident occurred at 7:20 am on the morning of the 14th of November, 2012.
The Englishman has been identified as Ian Rowlett Anderson a 49 year old teacher at the ELT school, currently residing in Room XXX on Street XXX, Boeung Prolit Commune, X XXXX District. *
A source stated that the man had been seen riding his bike eastward along the the Chroy Changkvar Bridge before the incident.
When he arrived at the middle point of the bridge deck, he dismounted from his bike and jumped. Anger at a younger brother in England was given by the victim as the reason behind his suicide attempt.
